If you're looking for new gameplay, you should try a game or two. Particularly the British play very differently, with mobile 17 pounders
The mobile 17 pounders actually nixed the deal for me. Looks ridiculous :p

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

Malevolence, if you don tmind me asking, what about the mobile 17 dont you like?
Putting reality aside, they are quite vulnerable outside their pit, so while you can move them, its best to keep them in the emplacement and not move them around.

i like it cuz it felt like old EIR. But it feels like they are trying to go too many places at the same time. Trenches are vcoh and tommies get moving penalties only recons can move fast. leads to some recon spam just to reach the front line faster.

Another thing guys, you can watch games in progress via xfire. Its the new live broadcast ability. If you dont want to give a game a try, come watch a game. My xfire name is SoloXS. Or get on the xfire site and check out the live videos area. You know the screen names of guys from omg, so watch a video, to get an idea of things. As they say, dont knock it before you try it.

Pak the recon movement is actually a bug, they are not supposed to move that fast. It will be fixed soon as Bonte is done with the recode.

I have read all you doctrine notes and there are simply 2 many. With 600 doctrine choices there will be no way to know what the enemy unit can do.
It works both ways,You customize Yoo company the way you want it. It gets boring when everything is the same. Also in EIR you never not what the enemy can do unless youve played the same player constantly.
The reason why i dont play EIR is that i feel like im restricted too much, i cant run my company the way i want and a way that is effective, I find that its really just BARS and Stickies for everyone and then when i find i have a slight advantage, i get random off-mapped to F**K. ALso not as much commuinication on vent for some odd reason
And it hasnt stoped new ppl from wondering onto the site and never touching VCoh again
PAK,Trenches were nerfed and will be nerfed again i think

Ahh well much like OMG EIRR is a work in progress with more depth than you see right now, its great you found time to come over here and comment im sure a game awaits for you. And as always we wish OMG all the best.
It great also that the two communities can freely express thier views on the the mods on one common area.
Crono got your message tell andy thanks for the invite when i find time in between working on this and real life ill try to find some spare moments to play your mod.

Well besides the fact that it looks ridiculous (I mean let's be honest, they're pushing around a two ton at gun with two guys :p) there's also a lot of balance issues to consider. I mean the 17 lber has basically 100% penetration, so it's a 57mm with AP rounds on permanently. Maybe it can be balanced through price, but even though it's as fragile as a 57mm nobody seems to make US companies devoid of 57mm, and this is basically just an ultrabuff 57mm like crazy.
Seems overpowering in many instances, including its slightly increased range compared to other AT guns (very minor, unless you guys fixed it somehow).

17lb"s aren't considered overpowered at all.
They are very expensive, turn so slow you could potentially circlestrafe them with a King Tiger, can be sniped outside of Emplacements with a single shot as they lack the third crew member, and have a nasty tendency to miss Pumas.
Also, they can be stolen this way.
And Paksniped, because even though the PaK decloaks after the first shot, the 17lb will miss half the time, and if it doesn't the Pak can just vanish.
Balance is of course not perfect, but specifically 17lbs I don't see as a problem.
But it's ok you don't like it.

The QF 17 pounder is a lot more fragile than a 57 mm because it has only 2 guys crewing it. So thats one sniper shot, one mortar hit or a crazy bike. Besides the 17 pounder is a lot slower both at turning as at moving, the range of a 17 pounder is it's great strenght and that's not easy to use.

We haven't changed any of the stats for the 17lber, the only thing changed was making it a 2 man crew instead of 3. This was done to address your "overpowering" concern. Out of a pit a single sniper with a single round can take a 17 out, which is why we suggest them being kept in their emplacement. We did the same with the Brits mortar too.
Come on over and give it a try, I would like 1 or 2 of the people that haven't tried it for speculation reasons to try it out and then post what they feel needs working out after doing so.
Edit: 2 others responded before me but oh well, lol.
