ooh nice mention its worth a try, it may not look as finished as EIRR but looks arent everything
The "launcher" looks fugly. Its complicated to start. Actually it pissed me off before i even started a game.
Dont suppose you remember the old EIR set up. Its not really a launcher its a game lobby. you have a serperate program that you put your battle number in and it launches. Simple.
ts worse than the old eir launcher, company building is confusing etc. But well find it out for urself.
Also the same, before reinforements. its not that confusing.
I actually dont mind OMG its the fact that they still dont have vet in and it still feels like your not working to gain anything.
Vet things is a let down but its a lot of work for the coders.
It crashes on me too, it's good looking with all those buttons and stuff but all the lag/crashes/incorrect logins/ghost games make it worse than old launcher.
Shouldnt anymore, coders fixed a lot of stuff, incorrect logins always happen with new players. But theres a nice little thing that tells you who has the wrong login name.
I can't play Operation Market Garden... I try to go to "inspect the troops", to build my company and it doesn't work... Apparently this is because I use Internet Explorer... What kind of stupid crap is that? News flash, most Internet users still use IE and I'll be damned if I'm going to install Firefox just so I can EiR: Everything and the Unbalanced Kitchen Sink edition...
Download firefox now, its 7mbs
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/meh.... I never felt too comfortable fighting against engineers with heroic armor lolz...
Its ranger armour, their hard to use.and are only effective with halftracks and in CQC.
I like EiR more though because it is so much more done and has this sweet PP system!
OMG will have a similer idea with ATS/Doctrines/Resource bonuses. You spread your VPs(victory points among them. It will help to avoid generic companies as there will be a fair few options to spread your VPs across..
Actually the halftrack load ups are extremely powerful during a meeting engagement. It is something that I would very much like to see here at EIR.
Halftracks are epic win.
But on a side note I thought that OMG and EIR shared a .dll that both mods changed so you can only install one of the mods at a time? Can some one here give clarification on that?
I have both installed and no conflicts happen.....Mix between OMG and \EIR is the best way to go.
Also before you judge the new units, try them they can be niffty,Also if you have any ideas for new axis units theres a thread open to see if hey need some or if there is a gap for improvement.
One more thing, alot of games are now been broadcasted via Xfire so you can check out the fights as they happen
EDIT: Check the wiki for any info you need
