I was wondering, if the 2in mortar could be given a smoke barrage as it range is obviously nothing to write home about (Seems to be about the range of an MG42!) and it rapid rate of fire can lay down a useful amount of smoke in a short amount of time.

Besides the fact this gives the british another option of somke too it arsenal, there shouldn't be anything too bad about this idea right?

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

I agree and I haven't even seen it yet O.o

if Wher and Ami get it (and IIRC their mortars are already superior) then not giving it to the 2-inch doesn't seem right.

Tried it a few times, realized its crap, moved on.

Smoke might make it useful....if it can drop it close enough without being in shooting range of the MGs....

Screw those, use Mortar pits....

Can we get a 2" Mortar Carrier as an Upgrade to the Bren Carrier?

Easy, its a 2" mortar, its half the damage of the next mortar up. It does 10 damage per round + modifiers, the Wehr does 36, Ami does 20.

Keep the Bren Carriers hull MG, it sucks anyway, and lets it contribute to frontline combat as needed with its short range.

Give it smoke, its job to directly support the troops on the front line in a mobile capacity.

Balance would just be on cost, something like 300mp, 40mu, 30fu. Its not as though it can actually kill with its mortar rounds, its just annoying.

But at least we could provide some cover to our assaults.

I'd make it a bit more expensive on fuel, maybe around 100, with 350 manpower.

The 2" mortar in its current state is pretty much a test run, we will review it and make changes as we see fit pretty soon.

I'm using the 2" mortar at the moment and its range is a little too sucky, with such a low damage out put a few more meters of range would be a big help for it.

give it smoke and it'd awesome, maybe give it more range so an mg42 doesn't pwn it and we're set.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Mortar HT costing a whooping 60 FU?
Would you honestly hold a Mortar HT mortar inferior to a 2 inch mortar? With the Mortar HTs better survivability?

lets give the brits the best from each faction

cloaked AT57mm Cheesy , piats that are better than recoiless, hmgs, what about brits knightscross? wait there was something...it is called commandos Cheesy

and now the mortar halftack from pe

but i agree the 2" mortar range is a little bit to short, i tried to mortar a vickersemplacement and it did not worked because the guys got shot by vickers emplacement....
