I agree has to be the best trek movie of them all but then jj abrams is a brilliant director, i can't wait for the next movie.

was ok for an average science fiction movie but it was a big disappointment for people who knows startrek
so much strange wrong and nonsense stuff in that movie

don't derail threats and btw: probably it is such a bad StarTrek Science Fiction movie because its directed by J.J. Abrams in Hollywood style almost all us movies are crap and cannot compete with european movies because of missing "deepness" and "intelligent" dialogs |

Let's see, Action and sex? Or Emotions and thinking hmm....i'll take my action and sex thank you very much. When I pay for a movie here, I want to be entertained, not taught a lesson or feel something. I've got Oxygen, Discovery, History channel and stuff for all of that. We pay $10+ for a freakin movie, and at least $20 for condiments, entertain me hollywood!

shows me that you did not even rudimental got what i was trying to say with "deepness" or "intelligent dialogs" so hollywood (crap) production probably fit to you perfectly  startrek XI is science fiction without "science" the characters are shown as no brainers when i look at scotty i could puke the presentation of kirk and mccoy was way to much plain cliche the story was just crap with wrong informations about characters and a "joke" it was like a wild mix of a nonsense parralel universe with hollywood crap, much explosions, no brainer dialogs and a little "wrong" star trek Mod Action: Quote removed. I thought the new Star Trek was brilliant! I enjoyed the fresh take from the actors (especially Kirk, Uhura, and Spock). The pacing was excellent, especially for such a long movie. And they set up a reason for there to be continuity differences. I for one hope that we see another film or a TV series with this cast.

Ummm.. and A New Hope is a ripoff of the typical Hero's journey of greek mythology and threatre. Whats the point? someone would eventually draw a conclusion that anything is a ripoff of something that came before it. Just because Star wars is still fresh in the minds of the current generation doesn't make the merits of good acting or successfull character relations any less good/decent.
