I need help with ventrilo

I have a problem with ventrilo, i don't know why i have a tremendous ping, something like 13800 or 17000 ping I mean , it takes me something like 5-10 minutes to switch channel or talk to somebody via "private chat", the poing is that it's not my connection i can hear everyone in a room perfectly and i haven't got any lag while playing EIRR.
Yesterday i played an EIRR game and joined the ventrilo, i clicked to switch channel with my teamates and about the min 20 or 30 of the game I realized I got into their channel, so i could hear them perfectly (i don't know if they could hear me).
I think i'm already registred if that could be the problem.

Hate to say it, But unless the server hosting for Ventrilo is down. The problem is on your end, somewhere, somehow.

but it's just ridiculous I don't understand this, i can hear everyone perfectly on real time, but i cant use the ventrilo "interface" (change channel, private chat....) my connection works well.
