Tier 1 US "Engine Overdrive" - Sherman can purchase Flank Speed
I bought the 25pp ability.
I purchased it for 30muni on a Sherman.
But sadly there is no icon to make use of the ability.

Try clicking around in the upgrade box. Both Hotchkiss and Staghound upgrades can be bought (upgun and .50 cal respectively), but they're invisible and you have to click around in blank space for them. Might be the same case here.

Is Akranadas in this thread? Fucker can't stop bragging about his "waifu taldeer" and cosplaying in an eldar farseer costume while shouting "Flithy monkeighs!" interspaced with random eldar gibberish.

I upgraded them. There is an icon to buy it but not an icon to use it in game.

No reason to get touchy about it. We were told pre-patch that .006 would include the tier one doctrines; the patch notes and in-launcher seem to agree with this. If you're going to yell at people over it, then at least make it really obvious the doctrines don't work yet, and also don't put the doctrines half-in where you can spend your munitions on the upgrades and not gain anything from it :|

I understand that, but apparently Flank Speed is a munitions-costing upgrade that does nothing, which is what I found off. I have no problem with the system otherwise, rather like it tbh.

It cost munitions and doesn't do anything because.... it's not implemented to Europe in Ruins yet.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.
That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.
Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

I know, I'm saying the ability to actually buy Flank Speed on your tanks once you've got the doctrine ability should be removed until it's actually in, so people don't unknowingly waste munitions.

How is it a waste? Once it's implemented; they will get their flank speed.

Unknowing player purchases the Flank Speed doctrine ability --> ok, all doctrine abilities are like that and I like it as it gives us time to get pp in advance.
Unknowing player sees Flank Speed upgrade for his tank and assumes it's working, purchases it and is hindered for his next game as he spent munitions on nothing --> not ok
there is clearly some sort of communications issue between us going on >_<

Because people pay Munitions for abilities that do not work, hence putting them down on the total effective resources in the game?
I dunno, maybe people don't like wasting a bunch of Munitions, similar to how the PE squads are supposed to be 4 men without needing an upgrade but nobody noted that in the patch notes so people are wasting Mp and Mu on getting the "4th" man.
Not to demean anyone, but couldn't some documentation have been done and released so people knew what to expect of their choices and units?

When a doctrine ability is ready, it will say COMPLETE in red text in the description.
We're only human, cut us some slack.
