Battle 46

Lai (Infantry), Shoe (Airborne), Cozmo (Airborne) vs APEX(Blitz), CompactFlash(Defensive?), JebusOwnsYou(Defensive?)

3v3 VP game on Seine River Docks. End result is basically the axis stomping on the allies and camping their spawns, but there are a lot of fun moves during the battle.  Short but sweet.

I was mildly ticked with ineffective satchels, but oh well Smiley

Had a crab sherman blundering around a bit but it eventually managed to gib three grenadiers ha ha

You may wonder at my start. It's because I did the recon and decided charging shrekgrens+KCH sitting behind sandbags to be a fools game and went to help Lai and Cozmo instead Smiley

I noticed in the report that Cozmo only got 12 pop-cap worth of 'involvement'.  It needs to be known that bringing units out and retreating them off the field doesn't count toward your involvement.  Granted, you may not ever lose any units, but you won't be getting very many resources at the end of the day either...

Involvement is units on the field + dead units.  It was done this way to avoid someone laming the system by simply bringing units out then retreating them off map to gain involvement.

On thinking about that, maybe it should still count squads at half strength or less in your involvement (whether they stay on the field or are retreated)...

He killed 23 infantry, lost 32 infantry.  You killed 84, and 3 vehicles, and lost 57, and 1.

Owned?  Hehe it only makes sense that if you lose more troops you should get more resources.

FYI, this replay works, at least for me.  Watching it now.  FYI on those satchels.  The bigger the building the less chance for kills.  That goes for grenades also.  That was basically the largest building.

Yeah setting it to half strength might be a good compromise.

:| those are backwards

he killed 32 and lost 23, i killed 57 and lost 84, i lost a sherman, greyhound and jeep and killed a panther

i know explosives performance goes down in big buildings because the guys are spread out more, thats why i threw satchels instead of grenades   Smiley

I accidently chose wrong company. The one I used played 5 battles yesterday and I didn't reinforce it with todays resources. I basically only had unupgraded rifles and support teams. The replay shows that the VP ticker is too fast on maps with many sectors.
