where did I say you shouldn't use a unit because it has a burst bug? i just wanted to know if the availability could change to reflect the current balance with the unit

oh and

ostwind = 4 availability

quad = 2 availability

Latest patch went like this :

Ostwind popcap 11 => 10
Quad popcap 5 => 7
Quad availability 4 => 2

And I specificaly remember someone from the developer team saying that the Ostwind 4 availability was a typo(I think it was Nevyen that said it?), and should be either 3 or 2...

I guess wildsolus is seeing insult on top of injury here - not only do quads get a nerf, but ostwinds actualy get a buff, which is what peeves him off more than the ostwind's actual firepower. Even with burstbug the ostwind is quite OK.

I can't understand why even if both vehicles are affected by burst bug only one of em got nerfed, nothing wrong with the nerf but still only one...

The burst bug on the ostwind does very very little.

It fires three shots in three seconds, then it coolsdown for only one second before it fires another burst of three.

So at best you only skip one second.

The burst bug on the quad is a little more powerful, but still not omgwtfpwn.  Only on armored cars and pumas that have 5 second cooldown between bursts does the burst bug massively increase dps.

Well I should frap when the ostwind rapes two guys a hit only to reset its cooldown and shot even more. It's not so unnoticeable.

Yes, on the ostwind its a 33% increase in dps.

On the puma its a 200% increase in dps.

Puma, Quad, Ostwind are all affected by burst bug. Even if you say it's 33% only it still kills squads in no time because of this. probably because it has less shots but far mroe powerful and even one can make a difference.

Without burstbug, it will kill 1 landing squad at most, the other two will kill the ostwind.
It's rather noticeable indeed.

Why allies get only 1 Crocodile and Axis 4 Ostwinds? Both are anti infantry units, and Ostwind is good versus light vehicles too!

Don't forget how ostwinds are faster, cost 100fu less, and have somewhat less survivability (not that the last factor matters much).

Well ostwinds are not supposed to be never reload machines of infantry awesomeness. But currently they are cause relic messed them up. Ostwinds themselves are not all that usefull an M10 wrecks them ATG's wreck them, it's more the timing and player actions that get units killed. I have yet to see good players get massacred by ostwinds. You all now know that Infantry clearly don't work(not that they did before to any degree of cost effectiveness) and frankly someone who has 4 ostwinds is going to lose to Tank spam

No. Nobody said you had to use all 4 Ostwinds at once, and if you do you're not very bright. 4 Ostwinds leaves you with 500 fuel, enough for a Panther, and then you can get plenty of Paks and Shrecks.

we had pak mania now we seem to have ost mania

what you forget is that ostwind does what it can do only KILL INF.

atg kill ost with 3 hits , 2 hits and it has 10 % hp.

every tank > ost


he who rushes inf into ost should only get what he deserves


they only fair would be to decrease ost avail to 3 , bring back to 4 when bug is fixed



i say nerf every allied tank because it kills my ostwind w/o problem !

Thats simply not true.......each time a puma/AC/Ostwind also i think some1 said lmgs are effected as well...

Each time a ostwind kills a squad member it auto reloads and dose this each time it kills a guy.......Its not a balance thing its a bug and availability should but knocked down 1 or 2 because theyve become so much more effective........

Its a light tank, it should die and die horribly.....M10 are Tank hunters if rather poor ones but there sole purpose is to kill tanks......hence you dont shoot infantry with them , you run them over....

If it was Airbourne and RRs got some 33% Buff bug i would garrantee people would be crying rape and demand some type of nerf
