how about basing your opinion, aloha, other than telling everyone how wrong they are, and how awesome you are? I'd rather face a tiger as well, rather than an 88. I see a tiger, I think halftrack + stickies, double AT guns, or just plain old firefly if I'm brits. If I see 88, I just ask my team "who has arty" and prepare for 20 minutes of pure baraging. If N/A - time to backcap like hell until we attrition out their supporting units.

I'll agree it can kill an infantry advance, but only with luck, and if the infantry user is stupid enough not to stop and wait for the barage to end.

It can't kill armor unless at shotgun range, at which point the calli is in a load of trouble.

Lets nerf 88s range to match PAK38s then it'll be good!

No lets give it Panther range, that would be better I mean its an anti tank gun after all? It can shoot aircrafts too but that's rather rare in EiRR gameplay.

Lets nerf its advantage and give it harder time to vet up. Then it'll be very balanced.
I think we must buff Howizer so that it can two shoot a 88 anti tank gun so that I as a ally player can be happy to deploy that long cooldown owning howizer on the field to pop that darn thing down.


Is it possible to nerf it that way?

Let me finish this please, i can't believe how many axis have their heads under water.

Flak 88 - 450 MP, 220 F, 8 pop
PzIV - 400 MP, 260 F, 12 pop
Churchill MK IV - 410 MP, 275 F, 12 pop
Crocodile - 400 MP, 275 F, 12 pop
Hetzer - 400 MP, 245 F, 10 pop

"Similar" priced units.  Do you see one thing standing out there a little in firepower?  Oh yeah one of them does twice the damage/penetration of others and has at least twice the range.

As a luftwaffe player i can only get so much AT. Shreks that just get microed if not in a halftrack and only can put out 1 Main Battle tank, the panther, rather than the allies that can put out shermans, m10, m18, pershings fireflies, cromwells, and command tank in massive numbers.

Its a great tool and worth every cent to keep the allie tank rush from ever happening.

Also the 88 flak vet is fine as it is, as 1 mortar just behind the cover of the 88 can kill a fully healthed crew. lost 3 vet 3 88's to just that. stupid eh, and people wine about how OP they are.

Theres nothing else than a pnther and a 88 in the luftwaffe doctrine other than shreks which i told can just be microed or ran over by a tank rush which always seems to be the allies tactic

lol things must be balanced as we are now seeing Nerf the 88 threads. man i must say this is the first ever 88 thread i have ever seen in my 2 years hear lol. wow what will the allys want to nerf next bikes?

btw 88s have remained the same since the orignal EiR and even back then there was no problem. so basicly as many seasoned EiR vets would say LEARN TO PLAY NOOB. LOL!

I think I'd fear an 88 more then a Tiger. Any idiot and put down an 88 and have it be effective, but a Tiger is only effective in the right hands.

In my honest opinion only PE should get the Flak88, wehr have so many anti tank units that it just helps them that much more.. I think PE being the only faction to have the 88 might help balance it out a little bit more?

One is also immobile, now ask yourself how much you would pay for the other 4 units if they couldn't move.

If I'm not mistaken, all PE players can use a Marder III right? It's an AT gun on treads. Sure it might be (depending on your opinion) somewhat easily circle strafed, but that what those Panzershrecks are for right? That should be enough to stop a moderate Allied armour rush.
