This T4 simply doesn't seem to be too entirely useful. Even paired up with allied grit. I think if bipods was in we could have some super rifles, but right now M1 Carbines seems pretty lack luster. I honestly don't see a reason to go anything but tank reapers. Axis just pumps out such a large amount of armor especially right now, and have so many buffs to their armor no other infantry T4 makes sense. Your rifles will still get suppressed just as easy and when playing against PE, you are going to be shooting at clown cars not infantry. maybe it just seems to not be effective with the current environment. but has anyone had great success with M1 carbines? how do you set up your company and doctrines and such if you have it?

It affects *all" weapons... so if you pick a LMG, or a Schreck with it.... yeah.... I don't even need to explain you what it can do lol.

And it also makes them beat any unupgraded infantry on a 1vs1.

i agree its not a useful T4, it's not T4 worthy as it is right now i think.  It needs a buff of some sort.

You have to remember if you pick this youre planning to have at least 8 rifle squads in your batallion, and most of them unupgraded

It also affects their zooks, so get the heavy weapons and have some fun.

You want bad, try the Armor T4 AP rounds.

When i used it my rifles would pretty much destroy any other infantry groups.. I'd say it was pretty good. Worth getting over tank reapers however? hrm tough call

This T4 owns, it lets your unupgraded rifles have LMG gren firepower in close and beat all other infantry at long range except maybe falls.

If you know how to support your atgs, get m1 carbines and don't even waste time with TR.

i didnt realize the zookas were affected, so that is a huge plus. it would probably make most sense to run lots of rifles with just a zook on most of them. would make the zooks more useful then the stickies i assume too. ill have to give it another go after i play around with the armor company.

Ought to rename the ability to "Advanced Combat Training" or something then.

Just tried it, seems decent at anti-inf, but even with higher zook RoF it doesn't compete with TR at all. Bazookas have such poor penetration and accuracy that a P4 can kite all day long without fear.

Be creative, pick up weapons with this T4 and you will laugh at TR.

Yah, I only found the rifles+zook upgrade to be usefull with TR. Better to stick with stickies if you can with M1 they get to vet 2 pretty quick

M1 is excellent for vetting up riflemen.  I had an endless supply of vetted riflemen (at one point I had 0 vet 1 squads and everything was vet 2+) before the reset with M1 carbines.  The great thing about M1 carbines is that your opponent has no idea that you have it, and by the time he charges in (like KCH charging in against your M1 carbine rifles) it's too late because he's too far in and he's taken too much damage.

AT can be a problem, but running 4 ATGs should solve that (assuming your ATG usage is decent).  With M1 carbines, you don't need BARs, so you can spend more munitions on stickies and grenades.  Plus, with your rifles gaining vet so quickly, sticky bombs will be easier to use.

Disagree with M1 C not being useful. It really perks up. The trick here is numbers. Make sure you run around 20~ rifles at least, they dont need to be all upgraded. This way you can enforce infantry domination on the axis you play.

Used it more and liking it. It's such an innocent T4 that no one has any idea its around. I've actually cut rangers out of my battalion so I can get more upgraded riflemen. The only thing that really screws them over is the MG42, otherwise bring on the rampaging rifle hordes!

If it affects Zooks and LMGs and such, does it also affect BARs?

I thought we went through this a few weeks ago and one of the Devs confirmed it only affects the Garand, doesn't even effect the squad leader and his carbine.

Either way it kicks ass short range but grens will still beat you in a long range cover fight.

Though considering rifles are only 190 MP, and you can get grenades for them, the economics are in your favour in infantry fights. Getting allied grit with 15% more hp for rifles helps a lot in winning battles too. MG42s shut rifles down badly though, as usual.
