The radius being shown depending on the players skill, or a newbie advantage sounds like a good mechanic tbh....

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

Speaking from being the uber continuous stomped newbie I was (still not completely remedied) it would be great to see a much more noob friendly atmosphere. be it in game mechanics or more user friendly interfaces or something. The mentoring is impossible cause of smurfs and sometimes poor treatment occurs to new players cause veterans have trouble IDing smurfs and therefore treat almost any new name as smurfs.

anyway my 2 cents

Smurfing will be a bannable offence after beta release - and peoples FORUM account will be being shown in launcher, thus removing that layer of smurfiness.

When that is the case, It will be easier to assign mentors - or even look into mechanics to help newer players via mentoring or other in game methods (not overpowering, just assistance)

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Start deleting them.

If you are found using a second forum account for a launcher account - you will get 1 warning, along with a complete wipe of your primary launcher account.

Just had a snoop around my Hicks359 account to see if there was a delete option in the profile section. There wasn't an obvious one that I could find - You may have to delete per request unless you want to activate the ability for 'default' forum accounts to delete themselves.

Have you thought anything more about this EIRRMOD? (What the thread was initially about, showing friendly weapon ranges and "horizontal firing cones" either as a noob advantage or general addition)

I have.  And its a large mechanic change (Aesthetic, but a mechanic all the same) that will change how the tactics of newer players vs older players interact.

How I see it is this:

Older (vet) players will fight the change, as the current mechanic is very 'analog'.  Meaning that reload timers, range, arc etc are all by 'feel'.  The more you play, the closer you get to accurately (or perfectly) judge these numbers.

The mechanic would remove this learning curve.  As for making it noob friendly, it would.  However at this stage I feel it would take away more than give.  But I'll bring it up at the next dev meeting.
