This is a problem I've noticed for a while now.  There is basically no incentive to play to win.  Rather, people would rather preserve vet than win.

This is mainly due to the fact that winning or losing doesn't matter at the moment.   You get the same amount of PP.  Often times its not worth sacraficing an expensive unit like a tiger to win because you will actually hurt yourself by doing so.

Perhaps the winning team can gain additional PP?   Say 5 xp for every unit that participated in the battle and 1 additional PP?

I look at it as when it turns out as a loss the army can make a tactical retreat, just to fight another day when they are more prepared. I like it as it is. There is no good in Pyrrhic victories. =)

And IMO it sounds abit odd if units that were on the battlefield but didn´t do any fighting shouldn´t get any extra fighting experience. But it sounds like a good idea with a bonus prestige point for winning the battle.

That is my view of this, but I am new to this mod and I only got one unit of level three and the rest level one and two.

In short:
Warmap.

At length:

Basically, you all the systems that will be in place, are not yet.

ATM, it IS just pp gain, with no reward (other than ego) for winning / losing.
However, this will change as your results effect not only the progress of the war, but effects on your company as a whole.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

i play to win

but many ppl don't that are mostly ppl with vet units....i do not upgrade any unit to vet2 or vet3 (especially as pe because most are made out of paper/glass) because it makes you loosing games and is a waste of pp

Would be interesting to lose PPs when losing but then we are back to some sort of stacking or the issues with win percentage.

Reward for winning, do not punish for losing. This principle will help avoid teamstack.

Vet has nothing to do with unit preformance.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

how about this, losing team gets ___ XP taken from all units, BUT can't take away vet, for instance, if you have a say rifle squad at 8 XP, and vet 1 is 6 XP, and you lose, and rifles lose 3 XP for a loss, they would only go down to 6 XP, not 5 XP. And make the XP loss/gain for everyone unit special, obviously a tank should get more XP then say a bike, or an officer. plus this would help units like kettengrads and stuff to gain vet.

This title thread is my biggest want for this mod.
Mine too.

Just remember guys, the PP system is just the way to progress your company.
The incentives to win will not be PP based in the future.

We're testing unit balance atm, not the PP system itself (well, sort of)

You'll get your wish Schultz =)

still u should at least maybe double or maybe make the PP for winning a little more or the losing side starts setting up shit next to there spawn point and vet sniping, it's homo u loose units and they gain vet which make those units a little harder to kill or more devastating

it is really homo.
