I think the standard mortar pit has 90 range, axis mortar has 85.
Supercharge may only be giving +5 range where as heavy support gives 8.5.

That would indeed make the axis mortar come close to the supercharged mortar pit in terms of range bonus.

I'd have to look it up though.

There may also be an undocumented vet range buff.

If they have near the same range I still don't see how the mortar pit would have difficulty dealing with the axis mortar...? You can't even kill a mortar pit with an axis mortar Smiley.

There is a bug sometimes where supercharge doesn't work correctly.
Unsure why, but sometimes the clickable barrage area skill has supercharge, but direct attack ground doesn't.

Other times direct fire goes further and barrage doesn't.

Think it has something to do with the way the team crews the pit, but could be wrong.
Also, unsure if re-manned pits keep the bonuses or not.
Still, supercharged mortars are restrictive as it is, 3 in supply and high cost means you don't field enough to justify the skill unless you really go for it. It is only a T1 though so *shrug*

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I dont understand the bithcing, I used to think axis mortars were better than allied hands down, but lately ive been getting owned hard by allied mortars and their faster shooty times. ( the wher mortars ) The range has always been about the same to me, to counter mortar the allies i have to get within their range or just outside of it, I dont know the numbers. Mortar pit = ara denial > wher mortar

Vanilla stats have the Wehrmacht out ranging the American mortar considerably.
It's only in EiRR that they are potentially equal in combat terms, pretty sure you need to vet both to get them closer together stats wise.

At vet 1 the allied mortar has the same range as an axis one.

Lol, I played against raio, I set up my mortar attacking his mortar pit at max range as a test and the (supercharged) mortar pit did in fact easily out range it.

At vet 1 the allied mortar does NOT have the same range as an axis mortar. And even if it did, it's just for the attack ground, not the barrage ability.

Faster shooting time on the allied mortar?

I remember crunching numbers like 3 times now explaining that the axis mortar shoots by around 0.5 seconds slower or so...
