The LT, Captain, and CCT can't be bought by the Americans?
I made command units and open carriers non purchasable for the other fraction. This includes:
Captain, Lieutenant, Officer, Munition Halftrack, Bren Carrier, Kangaroo and Infantry Halftrack.

I wasn't talking about the infantry halftrack tank carrier things.

The Officer is a doctrinal unit for Defensive, and would fall under the signature-doctrine-unit heading regardless.

So, the command units you've left out are...

-Munitions Halftrack.

-Lieutenant.
-Captain.
-Cromwell Command Tank.

Which, quite honestly, doesn't make much sense.

...Well, maybe it's just me.

i really like the idea of not getting packages but single units.
but i doubt any pe player would for example get some pioneers that take up two unlocks.
I made some changes to accommodate this.

i like the idea of single units being unlocked if they did it right, pretty cool idea.

Sorry for the uber bump, but now how will reinforcements be different with the new availability system?  Putting non-doctrine things in reinfrocements packages would make them unappealing because of the new availability system (unless you are Wehr and you get PE reinforcements or you are US and you get British reinforcements and vice versa).

I suppose new possibilities would be increasing the availability pools or doing the unit by unit reinforcement thing.

Anti Tank Hunters
3/1 Stormtroopers
2/1 Pak 38
2/1 Panzer 4
4/3 Pioneers

does that mean that the pak snipes AT guns and zookas and RRs but missed vs all other targets? I mean that way it IS an AT hunter...

Exactly, the landscape of EIRR has been changed so much with late 006 n 007 changes that reinforcements need a total overhaul to be even considered to be implemented.

EDIT:Plus i was only slightly new to EIRR then and had a slight understanding on anything other than defensive wehr.

It was a joke at how the title of the reinforcement package was anti tank hunters, as in your hunting the anti tank units...

US Armor:
M3 Halftrack
M10
M4 Sherman
M4 Sherman Crocodile

Useful upgrade for British if they want different tanks to mix their troops as well to transport troops by other means than Bren Carrier

US Infantry
Engineers
57mm Anti Tank gun
Sniper
Rifleman

Basic Upgrade containing all American infantry units. Useful for British since they lack of Flamethrower same with 57mm. Sniper is something British forces really need, they do have Commando one but it is tier lockable in a doctorine.

US Light Recon
M8
Quad Halftrack
57mm
Rifleman

Has 2 Decent light vehicles and a Anti tank gun and basic rifleman squadrons useful for brits who like light vehicles.

British Tank Brigade

Firefly
Sappers
CCT
Bren MMG

Basic Package of British armored units. Useful for Armored Doctorine to get Firefly (or same for every doctorine) Sappers with Piat/Demolition kit

British Royal Infantry
Ltd
Rifle Section
Recon Section
Bren Carrier

Useful set of officer and british infantry and the famous Mariokart

British Defencive
Captain
Vickers MG
Stuart
Recon Section

This package is quite weak but it contains Insta Supression MG, a Captain and Canister Shot Stuart and a Recon section to spot and snipe.

Axis:

Heavy Support Reinforcements

PAK38
Mortar
HMG
Pioneers

UseFul for PE since it gives Support weapons for them. PAK and Mortar and the Important thing, HMG.

Armored Support

P4
StuG
Grenadier
KCH

Contains Wehr's Elite Infantry and Standard Infantry and Assault Gun and a P4 Main Battle tank useful for PE to get.

Light Recon

Volksgrenadiers
Puma
Halftrack
Sniper

It is useful for PE to get the Sniper and some Recrewing soldiers/Gunfodders to gain advantage from weapons and keep Pzg's full strenght. Halftrack to pack a surprise for enemy without the usual IHT and a Puma to upgrade it either Upgun or Non-Upgunned to work with the AC.

Panzer Elite Reinforcements.

Tank Hunters

LATHT
Tank Busters
Marder
Munition Halftrack

Useful for Wehrmacht to get advantages from Munition halftrack and snipe people with LATHT abilities and bust tanks. Marder as a mobile PAK if you float in mun and stare at a empty mun box

Mechanized Forces

Infantry Halftrack
Mortar Halftrack
P4 Infantry Support Tank
Panzer Grenadiers

Useful Forces to charge with IHTs and bomb with Mortar Halftracks and then support infantry with P4 IST.

Light Armored Recon

Support Scout Car
Vampire Halftrack
Assault Grenadiers
Armed Schwimwagen

Useful to take for Scouting Purposes and packs a little punch with Assault Grenadiers and with Armed Schwimwagen and healing from SSC. Wehrmacht could use a SSC along with rest of the PE Doctorines (except SE) and the Armed Schwimwagen version to replace the non-lethal schwim so that they can replace their Motorcyclesv

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

I like Nightrain's list most of all, I think that's how we should gear the new reinforcement packages.  I have minor suggestions/changes to that I would like to propose:

US Armor:
M18 Hellcat
M10 Wolverine
M4 Sherman
M4 Sherman Crocodile

Emphasis on armor obviously, Hellcat is non-doctrine and would make a good support tank for Firefly or as weak fireflys to back up the mainstay Cromwells, M10 for high firepower, shermans obviously for their roles.

Allies -
US Infantry:
(Keep same as Night)

US Light Recon:
M8
Quad
M3 Halftrack
Engineers

This would focus on the light vehicles to support british infantry (m3 and quad), a different, cheaper 'stag' armored car, and engineers to support with mines and flamers to back up a british infantry force.

British Tank Brigade:
Firefly
Cromwell
CCT (If this is allowed, otherwise swap with Sappers)
Bren Carrier MMG (If not allowed due to killer combo with button vehicle, then recon squad as an escort/sighter for armor)

This goes with the whole 'anti vehicle' feel of this call in, or heavy armor.

British Royal Infantry:
6lber AT Gun
Lieutenant
British Tommy Squad
Bren Carrier

Focus on an infantry heavy core of british troops.

British Defensive:
Captain
British Tommy Squad
Sapper
Vickers MG Team

I think not having the 'defensive' oriented sappers (tougher engineers) and Tommy squad (tough infantry) along with a captain and good MG would do shame to the name of this package.

Axis -
Heavy Support Reinforcements:
Fine as is for the reason Night stated, change Pioneers to Volks to recrew all these weapons unless we want to sacrifice whole Pgren squads to do so

Armored Support:
Panzer 4
Stug
Grenadiers
Puma Upgun

(If this is about mobility which I think it is, the basic grens is a good enough escort infantry to support this anti vehicle/cannon armed force, and remember puma upgun is a different unit than a puma, not an upgrade unless they change unit stats for battalions)

Infantry Support:
KCHs
Volks
Grenadiers
Sniper OR Pioneers

Focus on superior infantry (KCH, Grens), or assault infantry (MP40s and flamers)

Tank hunters:
50mm HT (it's not a doctrine unit correct?)
Marder
Tank Buster squad
Light AT HT

Disabling LATHT combined with a variety of tank killing platforms, be it light, heavy, or infantry based.

Mechanized Forces:
Good as is, standard grens with a variety of upgrades and the IHT and Mortar HT with a good support tank unlock

Light Armored Recon:
Armored Car
Support scout car
Vampire halftrack
Armed Axis Jeep

Focus on good variety of light vehicles for firepower, sighting for axis wehr support teams, armred and tougher 'motocycle', and finally a mobile healing car.

All these suggestions are made under the assumption that the Reinforcement packages aren't 'universal' for Axis and Allies.  For example the US will see only the British packages, PE will see the Wehr packages, etc.
