I have noticed that goliaths were changed to be detectable from a distance, not just when bumped into. How is this justified? Currently M8 mines insta-gib whole squads for 33% of the munitions, and are undetected until run over. I've personally lost 2 vet 2 stormtrooper squads without a trace to these mines, and they cost next to nothing. (which is of course why I would definitely use them as americans) Is this crippling change to the goliath simply another result of the complaints department?

you're comparing a non movable mine to something you can move around and choose what to blow up with?

in that case, teller mines are under priced because they blew up 2 of my stags last game and stags fully upgraded are much more expensive then teller mines.

Might have been a overnerf, but recons and minesweepers should be able to detect them compared to the previous undetectable cloak. Its fine this way as british squads are extremely hard to instakill while minesweeper engineers are.. expendable. Its just a big "mine" after all.

In comparison your paying twice as much as you would for that non movable mine,it better do something amazing for twice the cost

you can't target anything with an m8 mine

i've "lost" plenty of m8 mines to retreating squads or motorcycles. last couple games i've played i've seen goliaths pop out of nowhere and chase down a couple vetted piats... both times the brit player retreated before it had a chance to blow up. the impact of seeing a goliath alone is crazy especially when vet is involved.

regardless, if the thing is detected outside of its kill radius, it doesn't even work like a mine. It's too slow to chase people down.

lol with puddins piats! that was awesome! even though they smoked, he still didn't take the chance. i can't believe you guys won! very good game. i feel the same way though, m8 mines and goliaths play very different roles, and i have lost many many mines to retreating units, it sucks because you want to put mines where you know the enemy will go, but a lot of the times where the enemy will go are spots that they retreat through so yeah, sometimes it's good sometimes its bad.

Infantry speed = 3
Goliath speed = 6.5

So you're saying it's too slow to chase people down?

Fine as it is, it was already a way overdue change.

The comparisons already made are good enough reason right now to keep it this way.

Why is it AAAAAAaaaalways stormtroopers people complain about losing?

Infantry speed = 3
Goliath speed = 6.5

So you're saying it's too slow to chase people down?

Goliath speed is 5.5

Why is it everyone has to lie about stats like everyone doesn't have access to them?

You're right that infantry is slower, but my experience is that my goliaths are been spotted by tanks and somehow easily kited by them... it must have to do with heinous pathing because they have to stop and turn around every single bush and crate while tanks don't. I realize they're intended for infantry, but that does little good when tanks can spot them without getting close. 90 mun down the drain.

It was an honest mistake, not a lie.
With an acceleration of 8 and a decceleration of 12, I doubt your goliaths are having too much trouble manouevering. 45 degrees/sec rotation can only help, too.
