Chateau is a good solid map actually, most of the vCoH reworks can go other than Carentan, which is decent enough.

Linden is awesome! Keep it!

Ardenne Valley is awesome - with the old OCP sectors. Bring those back!

Saint Laurent isn't really balanced but it has excellent asymmetry and atmosphere. If the spawn points were reworked to be further apart it'd be a fun map to play for kicks.

is there a way to fix st come dumont? that map is so hard to play if you dont pack flamecrocs with bulldusers your done. movility is so bad i felt like dropping from the game last time i played. i was just feedign my troops to the meat grinder. all of those trees and hedges are also graphic intensive the map is a lag fest.

Wow? Those make you lag?

Also, that would be a good reason to bring things that can clear hedges eh? Or use the hedges to your benefit. Its a good map, better than a flat field that has a couple buildings and a hedge....thats my biggest disappointment with the new Vengeance, its got no flavor now, just another flat boring map.

I think pooling the water in the rivers and adding some interesting features to them would help the map stand out. Right now, while they look nice, the river beds have no effect on game play. Most of our maps are already pretty similar in layout to Vengeance anyway, and removing the rivers took out what made it unique and interesting.

It's not a bad map, its just, bleh.

that was the reason for pulling to the rivers out so they didnt have an affect on the game play. there will be no more things added to the game to make it look purdy. if its not a gameplay issue it will not be addressed.

The water was never a gameplay issue, its just an issue for people that rely on rushing with infantry blobs with no support.

It was a fun map, now its like RTC.

There were bridge chokepoints? I always just went around them if the enemy set up on the other side, easy enough I guess for people that can think outside a straight line.

Didnt know you could think inside a straight line to begin with. cryptic metaphors ftw.

1 bridge to cross the river, the river was slowing red cover terrain, with green cover defences and buildings on the center island.

who have you been playing against, AMPM? Anyone competent would, if they got the chance, never let you across that river without dealing you tremendous troop losses.

I've played against everyone on that map pretty much, its a matter of concentration of force and bringing something to clear buildings.
