So you guys think the mk6 is worse than the 75mm sherman? Without doctrines ofc
Well yes
Costs more res, (+2 pop for cct)
Slower
No mine flail
Less acc in my experience, (stats will most likely prove otherwise)
Higher vet requirements
It's a t2 doctrine unlock opposed to faction wide tank.
Hull mgs tank shock is useless, due to -rec dmg from suppressed inf.
Inf buffs from t3s appear to be useless unless you blob, even so still mediocre.

Maybe decent buffs from hull down could tip the scales
Like
+5range
Increased rof (due to say driver now helping loader.)

Heck even a buff to fotm accuracy would be adequate. (Churchill is a stable platform)

They both use the 75mm gun so worse Ai should be the same. unless you take into account the sherman can get a 76MM as well a MG and smoke to escape.

So yes base unit i think the Churchill Mk6 isnt up to par without doctrine you dont get the major 200hp buff you dont get the 10% accuracy while standing still you dont get hull down. if its shit as is with doctrine then it will still be shit without doctrines.

Shermans like i said perform Dual roles and can perform them both Alright depending on the armored units you face.
Also can retain veterancy alot Better since they have the ability to escape from dangerous situation or at least reduce the chances of being hunted.

I just want to pop here and say, as someone who actually uses these frequently unlike most of the people in this thread spouting ill-informed opinions, it is an excellent unit.

I'm on board for reduced XP requirements, but double t3 MK6's are absolute monsters in every other aspect, hull  down makes shrecks an absolute joke, I wouldn't mind seeing slightly better performance with the armor but this is not a unit that need much changing at all. It is an extremely powerful anchor for the team and I have had great success with the way I use them

Tbf, I regularly get 20-30 infantry kills on them and the occasional LV/HV.

They are a nightmare for HHAT due to Churchill armour and they've got enough health/armour to stand their ground/fall back from armour until heavier AT can roll up.

Perhaps the problem lies in people using them like Shermans.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

I've had several very good games with them against whatever people consider are the "top players". When I get back from vacation ill work on getting some replays.

The MK6 is nothing like a Sherman, a well used MK6 outshines the Sherman in every way possible. P4s can't touch MK6s, especially with hulldown. If anything needs changing to give it a real niche role, improve the armor or HP to make it better at absorbing damage from Paks.

Mk 6 Churchill does not exist in vanilla, mk4 does.

Despite its 57mm 6pdr actually having better penetration then the Sherman's 75mm in reality, the mk 4 will never beat a p4 in the coh environment. Unless the p4 faces its rear armor and the Churchill is hulled down.

And again ill bring it up, the mk 6 Churchill brings nothing to the table the Cromwell doesn't except the extra hp, which really counts for nothing when axis have 100 range spgs atgs, double shrecks, fausts out the wazoo.

That extra hp counts for nothing when you take 3 hits compared to 1 for the Cromwell because you is a huge bitch Churchill

Did you not read my wall of stat calculations? The Vanila MK4 can beat the Vanila P4, just it can't beat the Skirted P4 unless the mk4 is Hulled Down like I showed; the P4 doesn't even need to show it's arse.

(And no, I didn't use the 6pounder, I assumed he ment MK4, so i used the Churchill 75mm).

People should stop saying things as facts without first checking the stats... (Yes I know I do it all the time!)

But were talking about the EIRR mk6 not the vanilla creme mk4.

Were talking about how crap it is, how its vet requirements are absurd.
How its an obsolete unit and has been for years.
