I found a place that allows me to create the EIRR tourney as an event for us all to bet on.  I have heard people talking about the different teams they think will win, so I thought this would be fun, and increase interest in watching the tourney.  I've set the limit on betting at 2500 gold.  I'm still waiting to hear from EIRRMod whether he will reimburse people on this, but I figured it would be fun.  However, be aware that the launcher does allow you to go into negative gold if you lose...essentially you are betting those 2500 gold pieces on credit.  You are able to bet on win, place(1st or second), or show(top three).  The payouts are decreased for place  and further decreased for show, since they are easier to collect on, but they are correspondingly safer.

The link to the place to bet on the tourney is HERE.

If there is enough interest, I can create games for each individual matchup, but for now, this is only tourney-wide results betting.  The betting closes at 12pm June 13th, which is the day the tournament is supposed to start.  That gives you about 10 days.

Remember, the first 6 rounds are to determine the final 8 teams, which will then be entered into a double-elimination tournament.

Here is a list of the teams:

You have to go to the site and register to make a bet, posting it on here does nothing.  Current Odds and Total Pool have been updated...all the early money seems to be on Shab and Rolc, which surprises me.

Doesn't surprise me. Two half decent players with a major talent for making unexpectedly good gimmick companies.

You don't know what they'll throw at you half the time, and it has a knack of being exactly the right thing to turn your company upside down.

I'd put my money on Shab + Rolc (Decent players, talent for gimmicks), Myst + David (Solid players, can effectively run the more unusual companies) or Skaffa + Deadbolt (Solid players, heavy backcappers).

I'd have put Smokaz + EliteGren in the same running with those three teams, but Smokaz is a bit on the rusty side these days when I checked last.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Don't know about Shab and Rolc, while they can spam, their spam tends to either be really good, or just plain fail.

Personally, I think its gonna be down to the Skaffa/DB team and whoever wins the Spam Wars of David/Myst and Shab/Rolc.

There's always upsets Smiley I'm in the same line of thinking as Hicks.. germans are just way too unreliable.

huehuehe

I just can't have 100% faith in DB team because it's DB. Traitorboy takes 200% damage from mental hits and might go berserk if he as early unlucky rolls

Now bear makes his own funny thread. It's unsurprisingly not funny.
