I know this idea was being toyed with by the dev team a while ago, but could there be a special veteran status for each type of soldier if it is currently #1 on the leaderboard for its unit type? That would represent being the pinnacle and best trained crew/squad in the war effort.
Maybe only make it apply after vet 3, possibly with its own symbol?

How about if a unit is the top of it's leaderboard for it's type it gets a special symbol?
Anyway, don't do it, I would rather have more important matters implemented.

Changing the ghetto scroll bars into actual arrows was clearly less important than completed doctrines but because it was an easy fix it was done first anyway. |

the leaderboard only shows the guys with most of the wins...but this guys isnt necessarily the best
vet4 only for #1 is not fair imo

Aloha you misunderstood what he was asking for. He said the #1 unit in each group. you'll notice the leaderboard divides by players, squads and units. Squads are the top 20 units in each faction. where units is the listing of every unit type currently fielded by that faction

It wouldn;t give any Bonuses. It would merely be an aesthetic change. Something for you to recognize on the field as "Ohh there it is!" not "when a unit reaches vet 4 it pisses flamethrower crits and shits mortar bombs"

I like the idea of being the top of xp lists because then after killing it another persons would then be it and the hunt could go on.
There could even be a pp bounty automatically laid on the most xp unit from each faction.
Imagine Salans panther getting spotted, the mad allies start launching every AT unit they can muster towards it.

I'm personally leaning towards something like a "highest XP unit in the game gets an extra moderate buff" (like +10% accuracy and +10% damage or something) and every other unit that is the highest XP of its unit type gets a neat little veteran icon over it? Something like that?
