We probably should review the Croc's price though, the leaderboard supports my suspicion that no one really uses them anymore.

No the leader board supports the suspicion that few survive...

I had two in my allied company Shocked
Nobody expects them, that's why they rock. Especially fighting IHTs is like switching on the oven for ultra bbq.

My only problem with ghetto-crocs is that the flamers can just hop out when their admittedly slightly worse than a tank vehicle gets damaged, and continue to roastie-toastie all my mans.

Counters to the counters:

Mortar the at gun and quick rush.

Rush with assault

rush an attack that might not have the supporting units with them for the moment.

etc, etc.

Use a Bren Carrier to button, it doesn't mind the Flamers.

Then use PIATs or something to finish the IHT from range.

That sounds pretty good actually, there you go, a use for the MMG carrier.

Honestly the flamethrower IHT is like the one solid hardcounter to the british infantry blob...(yeah you can do mg/mortar/offmap/nebel, but it's not as nearly effective for cost, mobility and pop)

I guess alot of british players don't realise how detrimental the blob can be if used "tactically".

Plus, if you want to nerf the Flaming IHT, please nerf the bangbus, it's equally as stupid to our axis armor.

Point is, dont blob your infantry unsupported.

Then why don't you just kite them? Brens definitely have more range then a Pio w/ flames

Edit: You should always be able to keep distance between the 2.

wtf is this?  sneriously?  Brens are freaking awesome in Vcoh.  give em up the 50 mu upgrade, and they just tear shit apart.  Keep em back though, if someone gets 2 pios around em, you deserve to fail.   I'm pretty sure every game I've played as brits i started with a bren.

Honestly though you could just package 4+ engineers in a HT, rush their lines and unload for similar effect.
You pay 430 MP, 100 Mun & 35 F (assuming you get 2 Flamethrower Pios) which is similar to the cost of a Flammenwerfer HT (which while less destructive is still somewhat sturdier) In addition when the HT explodes they will lose most of the units inside.

Not true hardly any of the infantry in these HT die.....on numerous occasions ive seen HT's with vet3 grens with shrecks chrage around an AT gun with a tank behind to have the HT blow up and have both squads come out unscathed and immediately firing a tirade of bazzokas killing the tank then easy as u like take out the remaining AT.

There wouldnt be a thread here if the squads inside were considerable damaged becasue no axis player would use it! squads who are in a HT when it is destroyed shold bereduced by at least half for both sides!!!!! Theywere used mainly for transport not for action!

Oh by the way i play CW the most at the moment and i agree those kangaroos with piat/brens in it are insanely devasting and hard to counter without losing the tactical advantage in the battle or losing alot of your battalion.

if a infht explodes, the pios inside die 100%. Or at least have the last 6 times i have used it.  The grens can get out.  Hurting, but get out, the pios just don't make it...-

Nope.  I have flame pios survive IHTs exploding all the time.  Its only a 40% chance of losing each guy, so you're looking at around 16% chance of losing both pios.
