If you guys are using stats from that website its seriously out of whack. A lot of stats has changed since then. For example the grenadier's panzerschreck.

There it's range at L,M,S = 35, 17, 8 where as in CoH-Stats is 35, 20, 12. The accuracy is also different at L,M,S = 0.35, 0.6, 1. Coh Stats is 0.35, 0.75, 1.

What the hell??? If there were more information, there is more inconsistencies we can point out.

Conviction tigers were best used in EIR as throw away weapons, in fact the entire blitz company I had was designed to be thrown away.   If the 25 squads of volks with assault didn't give that away...

I would say that the tigers in those companies were more like damage soak sponges and damage output machines rather than "throwaway". They were expendable, but still very useful used in the "hero tank" role as long as possible.

I personaly find them saying they had made the Tiger Ace shoot further than 88s much more silly than the minor disrepancies in the shrek Smiley.

Firing Range;

Max: 180
Distant: 180
Long: 120
Medium: 80
Short: 40

Unless they outranged flak 88s by 50 percent, you did not use that link as a source.

Sigh, stop being a nitwit, my point is that we took the Tiger and applied the following:

Speed bonus
Penetration bonus (20%)
Health bonus

That's it, nothing else, the coders applied the above 3 as they were instructed to.
So no there was no flak range and there was certainly no faster turret rotation.

Anyway, the Tiger Ace is gone and will never come back, I don't see the point of rambling on about it.

No, but why would anyone ever want a Tiger when they could get a much better version from the terror doctrine?

Because a normal Tiger that *should" use less pop cap than a TA could also get longer barrels + HEAT.

Tiger Ace needs to be Vet 4 for the normal Tiger. Don't give it veterancy of its own as it is already in every way superior to the Vet 3 Tiger. There, balanced and done.

After having my Tiger fight side by side with Leton's King Tiger, it is a bit discouraging to have a moderately less expensive but also less effective heavy tank.

That being said, they could have a T4 that gives the Tiger a sword-bearing tank commander and I'd still pick HEAT rounds.

The tiger is good at what it does, but it needs to be the center piece of a line, and not necessarily attacking as ATG's will put the hurt on. I usually have a P4 on with my Tiger or my Double schrek storm squads(2x) for a total population of 26(storms) or 28(P4) this gives me the flexibility to combat circling tanks or block/kill chasing tanks as well as added firepower to kill enemy ATG's an added benefit that against something like a sherman 3 or 4 schreks will leave it low enough for the tiger to score the kill and with a P4 it's alternating shots ending on a Tiger kill again against the sherman.

Also with a iger your going to wear out your H key alot because the moving accuracy multiple is the devil himself and needs to not exist. the deceleration on the tiger is good enough to stop on a dime so make use of that.(unless running away in a panic from stickies or M10's)

I wouldn't promote this kind of hero units, they are only good for fanboys who want to be the wittman of the situation. a tiger is not hard to vet up, you can easily have an ace at the cost of a tiger. I wouldn't consider to reintroduce it, instead I would work on other units that need more care.

I actually support this.  I like the idea of it as a mark to reach.  It will make the Tiger worth having, and the Tiger Ace something both rare and to be feared.

It will change the face of the doctrine just enough, and give people a reason to expend the time and resources to vet it up fully.

I would expect the super pershing to be the same. having to buy a t4 for a super pershing wouldn't be fair if the axis get a 'super' tiger for 'free'.

Agreed, though there should probably be some small differences between the two to retain the flavoring. Also the rest of their veterancy needs to be on line.  The Pershin vet is better and it only requires 200XP to reach vet 3 but the Tiger needs 300XP. The Ace/Super should probably come around 500XP or double vet 3.

Wouldnt the trade off be that the super pershing can get vet of its own?
