what about putting the defensive barrage (vCoh def doctrine) in the eir def doctrine tree as a t2

its a little too powerful for T2 offmap so im gonna have to disagree. especially since u can use MI and insta kill calliopes with it

It's the same mortar barrage the officer has, how can that kill a calliope?

If it could be used as a cast ability on a friendly unit, and would spawn an instant mortar barage if the unit died, it would be waaaay fun. "Zomg, 6 BAR squads rushing mah pak, it r dieing - quick, pop registered arty!"

Drawback - sacrifice a unit to do it.
Pro - instant cast time.

I do believe aloha meant the Registered Artilery Mortar barrage killer. It's actualy used loads more often than the officer mortar barrage in vCoH.

and baine is right it is the same effect like officer barrage...that only kills infantry

The area is exactly like the officer smoke barrage. And that one is almost instant as it is, so it wouldn't be too gravely disbalanced - probably would be better if you couldn't use it on your vehicles, tho.

Registered arty is devasting to be honest, watch some coh videos. It doesn't do much versus tanks.
