To be quite honest, I'm tired of the current half track, sure its bullet resistant but thats the last thing the PE need. 

We need something that dosn't get two shotted by ATG/Zook(mayber Three shotted)/RR. 

Currently the only time the Half tracks are effective is early game, if you can rush their AT, or late game when AT is more scarce (i.e. your running down those last few back capping rifles). 

Perhaps keep both, an Hard shell HT and a sof shelled to give people a choice.  But I'd much rather have the soft shelled ones that don't get rofraped by AT guns.

Thats why I have exactly 4 of them, 1 for a group of Assaults, 1 for a Single FJ squad, 2 for TB.

They come out at the beginning and end of games, because they are useless vs any midgame units.

Frankly I think being bullet impervious is a billion times more useful than the slightly increased problem they have against AT guns. Given the lack of easy repairs your halftracks would be riddled with BAR holes in no time, then you have to use a repair kit or take it off.

its better this way. Just dont get your ht's hit by at guns, nuff said lol. Use your speed, angles, buildings, or rush into it and take it out. If you're consistently losing your ht's to at guns, your current strategy is either flawed or you're just whining too much cuz um...at guns are supposed to kill vehicles sand tanks, bazooks are supposed ot rape light vehicles especially cuz they sux vs tanks.

They have more trouble than some of you think.  Even a master micrower makes one little mistake and BOOM, no more half track.  Theres no recovering from messing up with your HTs, between the poor pathing and the fact that they take Two hits to die. 

80% of the time its not worth being bullet proof. 

Its not like I can sit my HT behind something and Lob Piot rounds through inatimate objects. 

And how often do your morters get Two shotted by AT guns? 

And shoot its not like this is a huge change, this is how VCOH is.  How do you deal with the IHTs there? 

With the current repair system, it'd be nice to survive long enough to USE the repair kit I bought.

Mine also get outranged and uberwtfpwnt by both the versions of the axis mortar.
My brits mortar is outranged by an HMG42 as well.
Axis is clearly very much underpowered.

You really don't want the old IHT armor, trust me. a single BAR burst will quarter your health or something silly like that.

You'd rather have a HT that dies to one button?

I sure as hell wouldn't.  My rape HTs with shreks in them wouldnt kill infantry and tanks alike if they were nearly invulnerable to bullets.

Why not? Reinforcement packages kind of allow us to, as well as this being a team-based game, not a 1v1 game

It takes 2 shots to kill an IHT with a 57 mm.
0.3 seconds to fire the first shot.
1.5 wind down.
3.5 second reload.
0.3 seconds to fire the second shot.

Total - 5.6 seconds.

It would take the exact same to kill an IHT if it had it's old armor.
150*2 = 300 damage, and the IHT has 300 health.

2 BARs, 3 garands and 1 rifle shooting at standard IHT armor.

In the first 1.25 seconds of fire, at close range the BAR squad would deal out this :

14 BAR shots of which 5 will penetrate and deal 19.25 damage.
1 Carbine shot wich will have a 40% chance of penetrating and dealing 7 damage. Let's numb this down to 2.8 damage for ease of argument.
3 BAR shots of 40% penetration, so likely 1 will penetrate and deal 10 damage.

That is a total of an average 19.25+2.8+10 = 32.05 damage dealt by a BAR rifle squad within the first second of fire upon an IHT.

The maximum possible would be a stunning 90.9 damage (would require an insane spurt of luck, but none-the-less, it is theorethicaly possible).

I always found theory crafting vaguely suspicious... but the thing about PE is not attacking ATGs etc head on, but getting at their flanks.  Have you noticed how much rape PE can do once it gets behind an atg/mg or whatever?

Except the old halftrack got 2 shotted by ATGs too.  It has 300 hp and ATG does 150dmg/hit. 

Zooks/RR gets no damage bonus vs halftracks, so it makes no difference.

The old halftrack does NOT get a dodge bonus so its much more vulnerable to ATGs, infantry AT, and tank guns.

So basically you want a downgrade?

Quad takes 3(it gets a health buff), the new bren with 300 hp and halftrack armor(exactly same as IHT) takes 2.   Since the pak fires a lot faster than the 57mm and get the first strike accuracy bonus, the bren remains much more vulnerable than the IHT.
