Yeah more brit love doctrine wise. Commando doctrine only has working T1s (T2 tetrarch aswell, but that doesn't really count Tongue).

Other than that, good work!

Salan (?), can u give me pls ONE GOOD REASON  why FOOs recharge increased ?

because it's really powerful? 10 minutes is not that long at all of a wait. Better than one shot and thats it.

Tymathee:

FOOs
power  = or <  needed skill
                          (to use well)

axis ofmaps
(v1,precisely offmaps..)

       power    >    needed skill

also axis offmaps doesant costs tons of mun. (Foos = 200mun, in price with cpts)

FOO is the only decent indirect fire we have.  Noone uses the mortars since they can easily be counter mortared by something with more range and more damage, how else are we meant to deal with support spam???

If you made mortar pits non doctrinal it would help and just leave the supercharge to artillery instead....

Yeah brit doctrines need more love.  Coming up on 450pp free on Royal Engis now....

FOO = Before 006n was ONE use for that same price and then they changed it. I use it a lot, and my captain went from vet 2 to vet 3 in no time. Paying a total of 150 mp and 190 munitions for an unlimited use of offmaps is pretty damn good. Most games last about 40-50 minutes, so thats' 4-5 easy off maps and 3-4 more htan what you use to get. Stop being so damn spoiled and be grateful you get the extra off-maps. It was real powerful and I knew it'd get "nerfed" a little in time wise.

The reasoning behind FOO's cooldown decrease is also rather a mistery to me.

There was no discussions on the forums for it to be nerfed. Actualy, there was not even a single ranting post about captain FOO being bullshit. Considering the allied players needed litelarly years of whining for the pak to be finaly nerfed, it's a bit off-key.

There was a total of 5 vet 3 and 7 vet 2 captains, 49 captains total in all of the brit armies combined, with only two players fielding two of them - so it means captains weren't exactly being spammed for them to need a nerf. There is but one, single, captain in the overall CW leaderboard, which was on there for a loooong time now.

FOO must be cast within FOW, and in a range of 45(it is the same range as an HMG). It is quite worthless vs units in buildings. The captain is completely immobile until the second wave(out of 3) of shells come down. It is quite indeed possible to dodge, even with paks and mortars. You pay 140 munitions for it.

The FOO nerf was also just... out of the blue.

and it's basically a free off map. Jesus christ, be happy that you can cast more than one foo, before you could only do one. 10 minutes is nothing in game time.

No, it wasn't 'out of the blue'. When we first put it on a cooldown it was never intended to be 8 min.
In addition both the FOO and the captain have now received a price reduction.

10 munitions reduction on the captain makes it fair that it's sole purpose of being helpful on the defense from suppresion was removed? The removal of several captains stacking was a good step, but nerfing his given suppresion resistance is just plain gay.
Where was it said that it was never intended to be 8 minutes(such as at the bottom of the last hotfix thread's Original Post?)? It was indeed intended to be 8 minutes, or it wouldn't have been set to that in the last hotfix. It was working fine at 8 minutes, there was no need to fix it, as it wasn't broken. It was powerful, but required skill, luck, and popcap to use. Consider also, that the brittish have no form of off-map arty, unless you're commandos, and no form of on-map arty unless you're RCA.

Saying that it has been changed weeks ago, and thusly it's also a price reduction, is just flawed. We might as well ask for the Tiger to get it's critical table change reverted as well - it got a better critical table, but also a cost decrease, that's bullshit! It holds just as much credibility as what you said.

Tymathee is just probably axis prefer player.

The only thing that bothers me is that LT stacking -was- part of vCOH and it really should be part of EiR.  It gives brit units much-needed firepower, and a chance to effectively pretend they have elite infantry that is tough and deadly.

As said before, a single P4 shot can put an end to an LT.

Also:  Last patch, FOO was 150 munis, not 140.  It came down 10 munis in the latest patch.

Even though FOO has stronger projectiles, its landing pattern is hit or miss, unlike the Officer arty which saturates the area.

I don't know, but the FOO suppression value is massive as well.

First shell almost always supresses everything around it, and its that fact that leads to a bunch of suppressed and pinned guys getting owned by the otehr random shells.  Though usualy if they do it right its followed by a brit rush, witch can mop up a bunch of half dead spinned krouts.

They each have their advantages.

Captains also boost the entire sector they are in, and Officers (wher) only can do one vehicle at a time.

I mean, with LT's and Officers, and Priests and Victor Target and 25 pounders... do you need to really have constant artillery?

While most Axis players make do with a Neble and maybe and officer if they took that reinforcments.

Gosh I hate things that make blobing difficult.

Only Commandoes has any sort of offmap. And no other British doctrine besides RCA has any sort of onmap. Compare this to Wehrmacht or the US, where every doctrine has access to a nondoctrinal onmap arty asset, and every doctrine has some sort of offmap selection.

So, the Brits really need FOO as part of their arsenal, that needs balancing within the faction. A similar argument has been made for the pricing of the US and Wehr snipers, despite the Wehr sniper's faster ROF.
