i remade map carentan from allied campaign.
the river is removed and replaced by city.
its quite small, but the church and town hall are exactly in the middle.

UPDATE4:
map is finished! it is in the module, its in the autoupdater, it has minimaps, it has loading screen, it has new spawns (the ones in the corners), it has 3 weather options.
map needs a autoupdater and ppl who play it.
VERSION 1.3
small map update:
night weather is fixed, and one building around the town hall has some more health now
if you care, get it in the updater, its 13 MB

put map in C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\EuropeInRuins\Archives to play it.
DELETE BETAMAP.SGA IF YOU PLAYED CARENTAN BETA OR MAP WONT WORK!!!

It has potential, remove some clutter though so mortars and arty dont lead the way when fighting. generally the community doesnt like maps that turn into campfest, if you can open it up and encourage flanking etc. Im sure it will be good, give it a whirl.

looks really good.

did you try it yet? i'm using the same church in the map i'm working on. for some reason you still get the option to build units when it's garrisoned. i thought maybe it could be because you can do so in the singleplayer mission. did you experience anything like that?

EDIT:
Quote
5th: when a player garrisoned the church he was able to build units in there. i have absolutely no idea why. maybe i took the object from that singleplayer mission where the church serves as hq?

A similar problem occured in the new 6p_Carentan map. You used the church from the single player campaign map carentan, which functioned as a field HQ. You need to use a different church.

Fucking horrible map, far too wide, would be OK for meeting engagements but with attack and defend its hopeless cause' it aint worth garissoning any buildings and you are easily circled too fuck, no fun.

there are more maps that have few buildings. open green maps. why not a closed grey map with little buildings?
a full health -sighttoallways building in every corner would only encourage camping even more.
FLANKING ALL THE WAY! this is a good map.

this is a good map.

I don't think you're allowed to say that about your own map.  Roll Eyes

It looks interesting from the screen shot.

This might be one of those maps no one plays against brits with though. Also I agree that there are likely not a lot of buildings you actually want to get into (especially with an HMG/MG42)

I'll try it when the opportunity arises and give you more direct feedback.

dont worry about piats, becouse of some strange reason piats cant shoot over these buildings  Huh
at least the wrecks that arent really buildings, normal garrisonable buildings they go straight trough.

Shotblockers hidden in the wrecks?

I'm only worried about the bridges.  It looks like whoever spawns in the south would be able to rush up and hold those bridges, and that's game.  Not particularly appetizing.

to unknown: it are movement_blocker_shot_block_only objects placed with spline, but maybe its the fact there are a lot of objects in there, and the terrain is higher.

to victortarget:
the river is removed and replaced by city.
