I don't know what you are talking about LeoPhone, my vet 0 PIAT Sappers do pretty well against StuGs and the like.

Sure, a replay is always more convincing anyways if it true.

Mhm if you would have used attack ground on the rear of the stug this would have might helped a bit.

All those PIATs bounced. Skirts do not affect the PIAT's penetration at all, so nerfing skirts would not help, and neither would a range/damage buff on PIATs.
PIATs have a .332 chance top penetrate a StuG's front armor, so apparently you just got really unlucky.

And an Ostwind is gonna own any closely-bunched, three-man squad, what would you expect? It took 3-4 shots to kill the squad, though, which was plenty to time to hit Retreat and get away. Next time, support/defend your weapon teams.

Maybe get closer to the stug so not all the shots get deflected on the good front front armour.

even more micro....

i tried, but as you can see the cromwell moved in (also useless against the stug) and seriously, a hit is a hit, and two AT t4s that are vet 3 should be able to penetrate a silly stug...
i dont want dmg, accuracy or range increase on PIATS, but penetration increase IN A DOCTRINE.

I don't like that idea, as all airborne units have the risk of dieing if going behind enemy lines, there wont be any risk in dropping behind enemy lines than. and ive seen how Gliders are used by some, its pathetic how they expect a glider to survive if they drop it right on the enemy. <-- i dont want this tactic encourage. thats my opinion.

i doubt it, and they shouldnt be unlucky for units that should be so strong.

you mean 40%reroll on crashed gliders? there will still be risk, and im sure noboddy will drop his vetted gliders inside enemy units. the problem is, is that theres a 30 second timer, so if you drop your glider close to the frontline, in 30sec that place can be overrun by enemies or a puma rushing in. thats what i say: youre unlucky becouse the enemy wasnt there when you pressed to land your glider, or you drop it somewhere in a corner in the FOW and a tiger happens to be there.
a 20 sec spawn time and reroll will help you survive this bad luck, they dont even make your units stronger, it will be good.

i can understand what you mean Leo

The thing is every airborne unit will need to be accommodated for this change.i dont want to see fallschirmjagers and airborne with a 1 sec spawn protection so they can get there shit together to rape vehicles, MG w/e. If i place my airborne to close to the front, who's fault is it? and my next quesiton to myself is why should my sillyness be rewarded (in a manner of speaking) and my opponent disadvantaged as they made a push. it just doesnt seem fair.

Can you see what i mean?

(also if its say 40% reroll what about that commander bonus thats between 20%-40% reroll stacking would suck if it was introduced.)

my personal experience, ive always had my airborne drop far behind my lines so i could avoid this ever happening.

AB always drop full health, and im sure they can still get away even if you drop them right into the enemy, just by pressing retreat. gliders however get half (or 99% on ubran maps) killed by bushes before they land.

airborne can be shot from the sky, gliders can only be shot from the ground, they are both in the same boat.

not trying to take the piss out of your thread. im just saying if it ever gets implemented, every airborne should be accommodated.
