then how come my LT and my rifles need vet to get their bonuses.
What I mean is, wher tanks used to need vet 2 for MG and vet 3 for skirts. but now they get them at vet 0. so how come i have to vet up my LTs to get heroic charge (which is pretty impossible since he doesn't get XP from us troops. and my rifles need vet 2 to get their extra sticky range.

It does, I saw Nijo doing Heroic charge on his vet 3 rifleblob. Also, Mg was free and skirts were restricted to vet 2 not 3.

Skirts were also a lot more powerful back then, not to mention RRs were a lot more expensive because skirts were harder to get.

Yea, make the top MG and Upgun for US armor units start at vet 2 and 3 as well. So you can upgun at vet 2, but no MG or mineflail till 3.
Same with M8 skirts and so on....

The flipside is that there are way too many RRs around, and tank reapers don't exactly treat skirted tanks with much respect either. I don't personally like the notion of abilities being vet dependent. You either pay for them or you don't. Heroic charge should probably go to being non-vet dependent as well, but it would probably have to be adjusted for somehow, whether by LT cost, ability cost, cooldown, or whatever.

Yeah it does and also breaks suppression but they added a debuff for when it runs out so you have to be careful where you're at near it's wear off.

sprint doesn't require having an incredibly fragile unit around for its bonuses to be possible...if heroic charge were granted to all brit infantry at vet2, it'd be a fair comparison...

the difference is that P4's are spammed a lot and I didn't mention hmgs did I? I played a game where I went up against like 10+ p4's, they just basically kept on coming until we couldn't ill them anymore, we took out at least 8 of them, and all of them had skirts. How many upguns do you see? You rarely see sherman spam with a bunch of upguns, maybe .50 cals but not upguns.

Base P4 is about the same as a 75mm Sherman or 75mm Churchill, Upgunned Sherman beats a P4.
Doctrines such as Armor, Blitz, German steel change all that.
So its not a P4 problem, or a skirt problem, its a matchup of doctrine vs counters problem.

the problem is when the P4 skirts stack on top of the Vet3 part of the P4. I'd like to see it as a T1 for Defensive Doctrine to have skirts and the others may have to just get vet3 the normal way. P4s with skirts are clearly just as bad as tigers at Vet3 and need to be brought down a lot so that they are pretty much slightly better shermans.

lol, they are nowhere near a Tiger.
Vet 3 skirted t4 doctrine P4s are dangerous, but no more dangerous than any other vet 3 tank.
