I thought about making the group zeal +1% buffs to + 2% buffs per man and a maximum of +20% so it wont encourage blobbing too much because i think only 1 is quite weak...
PE squads (SE) only have 4 men squads and most of the the time u run around with 2 squads maximum and we wouldnt see it too many times because there are not many players playing scorched earth.

now i really dont want mysthalin post in this topic, everyone else can (and is invited)  Smiley
would be nice if devs could delete his posts if he does because i dont want this topic closed after 3 hours

How big is this Radius of 10 ingame?

i dont want to make it a nap-save ability and thats why its +20% max.

but yeah, easy to counter with offmaps :S or just MGs

Radius of 10 is about the grenade throw range of a rifleman.

So your guys have to be basically humping each other to get benefits of group zeal.

I think the radius needs a large increase, then maybe change the received damage to received accuracy.

No.   And Salan agrees, too high a percentage and sometimes you get ridiculous situations.

Increase the radius so you don't have to blob in the same spot and maybe change to received accuracy(which helps a lot more against tanks) and it will be good I think.

If there won't be an increase to 2% per man then at least make it so each man gives 2% less recieved accuracy that way the blob that will most likely form will survive better against splash damage from shermans. Keep the health increase per man 1% though if 2 % is just to good.

I also agree in a radius increase in group zeal.

Dude, you're not listening.

You're not getting 2% anything, try 1.2%.

My suggestion would be increase radius to 25, change the received damage to received accuracy.  So in the end it looks like this:

1% more hp and 1% received accuracy for every man in range.

That way its less work to impliment and allows for a pretty good balance. Compared to other t2 abilities, it wont be overpowered. perhaps cap it at 10% or something if you must. But airborne and other t2 give somethign like 15% reduces inc acc, and thats does not rely on squads being close together or on how many men are within the radias.

its at 20 now actually.. and 1.2

i doubt it needs anymore tweaks ... its strong, but not TOO strong.

people whine about blobbing, my reply honestly as a pe player would be, take away the ability, i'll still play the same way without it.  you solve nothing therefore your complaint is invalid simply because of the zeal!
