this map is gonna be awsome!
only thing i worry about is backcap, but that will only encourage more fighting instead of camping becouse this is such a small map.

Before i started this map, i was thinking how to name it. then suddenly karton came up in my mind. karton is cardboard in dutch, so i renamed karton to Carton to make it sound like a french town.
then i met unknown the map leader. he shattered my dream of having a map named c/karton
i tought like whats wrong with that name? well... if you translate Karton from dutch to french or english, you get CARTON
so heres the new name of the map: Vieux Port.

and now i see that a day after i published the map, unkown still didnt put it in the autoupdater or even in the module, this feeling only get strengthened.
i think im not gonna map for EiR anymore for a while.
geez... i even think about going to OMG right now.

according to my maths:
let "n" the number of times I ask for my map to be in.
The number of times Unknown rejects it will always be 'n-1'
Because he will eventually cave in and accept it in some way.
Same math applies here

Edit: It's in, should be in autoupdater shortly.
You can now also remove Arras from your archives folder if you want to.

Yes, it just didn't work out, too open with very little cover.
The panzerkrieg version I made of it was pretty fun though.

after the succes of carentan, i guessed that if i make a 2v2 ubran map now, it should be a bit similar. so i did, map size is 2/3 of carentan.

FYI, the modules only updated, maps not added. So you gotta download it yourself and put it in archive folder.

Well, its basically terrible.
Unit pathing gets all fucked up on all the stuff lying around, the way you did the ruined buildings also involves this.
Sector layout allows you to easily spawn camp, basically setting up just outside the spawn sectors of your opponent, including when you are defending.
Adding in arty heavy or support heavy doctrines makes this even worse.

well...
i played a game on it.
it is really small.
it was 2 PE vs 2 brit (ends in fail)
it was light vehicles of PE on ubran map (fail)
it was 2 of my bomb runs in a street on a small map(fail)
i liked the game, but then again it was stomp.
AmPM has a point, and i wont make maps like this anymore.
but it needs more testing, please just put it in autoupdater, it isnt that big. get ppl to play it, im sure there will be played some fun games.
and if i redo territories a bit, wouldnt this be a good 1v1?
