Does this increase the range of all tommy rifles/weapons including the bren lmg? Or does it only apply to standard tommy squads, also excluding scout tommies.

afaik it is a 1.3 modifier linked to the unit itsself and extend the weapon range by 30% what would affect all kind of weapons carried by tommies (includoing brens, picked up weapons...)
imho that is way to powerful for a T2

30% only increases the range by 10. So from 35 to 45.
Only affects Lee-Enfields in Tommy Squads.

It's not powerful as you think it is; it allows Tommy Squads a barrage of fire and a half more chance before the enemy fires back. It doesn't change accuracy or damage.

ok it affects no brens because bren range is limited to 35...are there any pickable weapons that have "unlocked" range like lee enfield rifle? and it should affect at least the rifles in a bren squad too
ok since it affects not the bren gun itsself its maybe not that overpowered but it remains very powerful since tommies are long range fighters...
even volks (the long range fighters vs us) are best used to rush tommis for close range (without brens)

Tommies have a 40% chance to hit at long range, 55% at Medium and 70% at Short Volks have a 35% chance to hit at long range, 55% at medium and 75% at short.
You have to remember, that when you tell your squad to engage IR Tommies, they will go to their range; so the Tommies bonus of that 10 extra range is negated when the enemy enters combat with that squad.
IR Tommies will still lose to Kar98k Grenadiers; 45% chance to hit at long range, 65% at Medium and 85% at Short

so hold on, a T2 doctrinally buffed infantry unit STILL loses to a vanilla non doctrinal non buffed infantry that is 15 mp cheaper? And this is a T2 why, exactly? How can you justify that this is even REMOTELY balanced?

Oh right, I thought you implied they would outright LOSE to grenadiers in combat. I can see now that you refer to their accuracy which is slightly less then that of grenadiers.

Improved rifling works wonders when combined with improved recon squads and officer with binoculiars. Because recons also use lee enfield rifles and extend line of sight... so you can almost kite infantry with long range rifle fire.
Brit arty doctrine provides very unique way of play. Officers are essential to their play... too many buffs to pass by.

Yes, the other 3 guys who have Lee-enfields in a Bren or Rifle Grenade squads still do benfit from increased range.

hate to burst your bubble but according to the rgds its a "apply_to_weapon" "Hardpoint_01" buff which means anything in each entities hardpoint 1 will get the buff. which unless I miss something, when they have a different weapon, they are still in hardpoint 1.
