Hey, got a raging headache and this is driving me too the point of snapping this shit card over my knee, its the radeon 4870 HD 1gb ATI it loads every other game fine with no problems except COH which it twitches every now and again when i am in the menu. When ingame it runs smooth but regularly crashes telling me that i dont have the most up too date gfx graphics which is bull. I watched this replay once and on the times we tried too shout it, it crashed at the same point twice! http://www.filefront.com/14132651/SmokazRaioNevAmpm.rarI'm sure its my card anybody got any ideas? |

I have the same card and it works fine. Try updating your drivers.

its not the OS its the card and i already downloaded the latest drivers and she still crashes.

I like vista tbfh. Nothing wrong with it. Also maybe some dust got imbetween one of the connectors between the graphics card and the slot. My dad's 8800 fucked up alot (but worked in my computer) and he went to go buy a new one and the guy said try cleaning it since sometimes dust gets in. Guy cheated me out of a free 8800  |

btw, make sure you are running the game with DX9 and not DX10 and the texture setting IS NOT set to ultra.

Ultra crashes sometimes, turn shader and texture detail from ultra to high and you shouldn't crash anymore.

Why not Ultra? thats what i am running and how do i know if i'm running dx 10 or 9?
ultra shader detail is dx10. And if your not using dx10 and have ultra textures it crashs or bugs alot. |

Oh taking it off ultra changes nothing and it crashes at the same point anyway.

I have the same card and play on ultra with dx10 shader and Vista is fine.

Well, really it could be any piece of hardware in your PC. The graphics card's hardware could be broken, it could be an insufficient power supply, it could be overheating, et c. et c.
Post up your other system specs.
