Alright, I bought this, thinking it was the same as the Sherman smoke screen that is used.

Well, it's not.  It's literally a round loaded, and fired out to a point where it creates a little tiny bit of smoke.  It really isn't all that useful, if you ask me, certainly not for a munition cost.  I wouldn't mind paying a little for the sherman smoke screen on my panzers, even, but a single smoke round is quite useless.  There's not a large enough area of effect, and at 20 munis, it's not even worth the cost.  I think there are a few options to make it reasonable.

1.  Sherman smoke screen.  Switch out the smoke rounds with the smoke screen used on the shermans.  It's useful, it's helpful, and it's quite powerful.  I'd buy it for a T2.

2.  Creeping smoke Barrage.  Ala the command tank, allow the p4 to produce a series of smoke round hits, protecting the infantry around it.  It keeps in line with the blitzkreig infantry/tank combination feel, and creates a reasonable (although muni costly) effect.  Either that or have it dump a large amount of smoke in a small area, such as the smoke barrage bought with training advantages.

3.  Make it free.

4.  Dump it.  As it is, it's not worth the cost, or the T2 buy.  It's wasted 50pp at this point.  I'd rather have bought the TBA.

Those are my suggestions.

well, there is not a single usable ability like this that is free in the game.  all the doctrine upgrades cost money throughout.

so being consistent, this must as well.  unless we want to revamp the whole system and how it works.

the ability itself will be looked at as needed, but there is practical applications you can use this for..  more in a preparation to attack role rather then a save my ass roll.

Do you really want me to list off all the offmaps that give free uses, or all the passives?

Its is a crap t2 ability, 1 smoke round...woo...buy a fuckin mortar.

It needs to lay down more smoke, or just be something else entirely. Its not a better choice than Blitz.

Creeping Smoke Barrage costs 50 munitions on the CCT by the way, only 1 use too.

You'll find out anyway smoke rounds are only good for attacking ATGs/HMGs.

Smoke Screen is 30 munitions as well.

It should probably allow the purchase of Creeping Smoke Barrage so its really easy, it's even treated like an offmap in game, you don't actually see the tank firing smoke rounds 50m away.

I'm not saying it's not useful, Salan.

But I think the area is too small.  Fire one off in-game, you'll see what I mean.  It's a single round, with a smoke puff as large as....a bike.

You can't even conceal a squad behind it while approaching an HMG.  Sorry.

Make it like the tetrarch smoke rounds ability :

Available for free, 75 second cooldown, shoots 2 shells with smoke in a 2 seconds ^^.

The only problem i have with tetrarch smoke is that the tank has to stop and point its turret at the target before firing.

Arnt much for this ability either, seems just a mediocre filler.

Would much rather have my mounted machine guns help defend my precious tanks as a blitz player by a damage buff, than shoot puffs of smoke. Or as the above posters have mentioned the sherman defensive smoke screen.
