I get the impression that this is getting out of hand, people are dropping from games and causing desyncs/freezes with impunity. To be clear, dropping from a match whether to lobby or desktop can and does cause desyncs.  Doing it at the end of the game is basically drop hacking then.  I don't really care about my stats but I find it frustrating and obnoxious behaviour.

The usual response to any criticism of their behaviour is dubious claims of ignorance (unlikely since they have been playing the mod for months), denying that dropping causes desyncs (it does) followed by a curt "fuck you" if all else fails, like clockwork.

I think the devs could make it clear in the drop policy thread in the disputes forum that dropping intentionally is against the rules and dropping because you lost is not a valid reason.  Also I see many threads about droppers in the disputes forum with no moderator response.

I get 2 draws today cuz some people couldn't wait this 1 minute to end of the game.

Even if I'm almost sure that someone drophacked me what can I do? Since it's impossible to prove drophack, you will always hear "I just quit to windows" etc. I just let it go until someone drophacks me more then 2 times in a row.

Same thing here, very annoying.

One game counted as a draw.
Another game someone dropped cause we had 3 airborne squads running arround.
Luckily the game came through and it counted as a win

I'm sure most of these guys knew they shouldn't drop...

it isnt the fault of the droppers that dont want to waste a whole minute of their life watching an exiting match, but its the fault of the devs that made games decync when this happens. leth the devs waste a week fixing this shit while we continue play this free game.

I was stuck in a game untill EIRR could force it because both the guys dropped.  It should result in bans, that get bigger as you drop more.

All you have to do is pull your troops off wait 2 minutes and then you can leave.  What you cant do is click menu and quit while still playing,  this will cause a desync.

I dont think the majority of the people that drophack no they are drophacking.  They realise they are losing and thus want to quit so they just quit not knowing it will cause a desync.

Solution:  The devs eather need to fix this problem (which has been around since the beginning of EIR),  or make it more publicly known that quitting a game via menu will cause a desync.

Any reports of people intentionally dropping will be dealth with.

So to clarify.

The system currently will punish droppers with no rewards if they have more drops than 1/2 total wins+losses.

ATM, this is obviously not enough - it is clear that dropping is getting out of hand.

Therefore, if you drop, it will be considered griefing.
Under the griefing rules, you will be given a 48 hour - 2 week ban from forum and launcher, as well as repetitive behaviour granting a longer vacation.

I find the attitude of the selfish players stating 'I cant be bothered waiting' pathetic, and really, if thats your attitude, gtfo.

Yeah dropping is shit, even when you quit through escape, and shame on me for doing it yesterday against LopesHugo and fucking the game up(not intentionally).
