vulnerable to small arms fire, circling armored cars, mass hezters with MGs and their tank shots and everyone's mother hitting it... I mean come on, this isn't computer991's mom we're talking about here! ^^
rofl

guys its a permanent gun emplacement which can be recrewed, has no chance of the crew dying, and wide fire arc + super penetration for only 30 munitions more than Piats?Huh

srsly guys......

You realize it doesn't move? right? right...?
It has serveral weaknesses to be honest...
 Compared to the 88

It doesn't move (you have to manually move it(The firing arc))
It doesn't do as much damage(Unless you have the AP rounds)
Its much larger than the 88(Making it a bigger target)
i'm too lazy to name the rest but there is several weaknesses to this gun

1. 88 is a tier 1 unlock, 17 pounder is a free unlock, big difference.

2. 88 is more vulnerable to mortars and snipers

3. 17 pounder has better a lot better penetration than the 88 even without AP rounds.

1. True but I would call that a small difference. I wouldn't mind having the 17 pounder as a T1 if it got a buff.

2. As said before in this tread 17 pounder is more vulnerable to mortars, the mortar destroys the 17 pounder when the 88 just gets decrewed, and the 88 is also harder to hit, especially as the axis mortars are superior.

3. I haven't in all my years playing CoH seen a 88 shot bounce? So if 17 punder have more penetration it's just fair becouse then can 88 penetrate the allies tanks and the 17 pounder penetrate the axis tanks. And have I right when I say that 88 does more damage?

1. The 88 is a T1 for PE and a T2 for Wehr

2. You can snipe the 88, and the recrewing is a double sided blade.

3. Well i have seen shermans bounce shots, just like Pershings and churchills.
Have you seen any heavy tank bounce a 17pdr? I haven't. And they prolly do the same amount of damage.

Iīve seen 88īs survive a few offmaps...

The 17 pounder could fit well as a doctrinal T1 or T2 with perhaps a purchasable armor upgrade? Since there is no sapper who can baby sit it to repair it, it is too easily killed by axis where almost everyone got either mortars or artillery.

You know a 17 Pounder can get its health back for free with just repositioning right?

Isnīt that a bug? I considered it as that, so I didnīt take that up when I presume it also will be fixed in a matter of time.

I've seen 17pdrs survive V1s.

Fact is, give it a slight health boost, other than that it is fine.
