The ability is a good one - anti-building only.
Adds extra flavour.
Is unique and can be useful.

The problem is: It's confusing, unintuitive and makes 0 sense whatsoever that it brings down reinforced steel and concrete buildings like toothpicks but magically turns into harmless pixie dust when it nears a living or mechanical unit despite the awesome explosion.

... Can't we do something about it.

It's world war 2, while a gamey WW2, but still it's... WW2... not magic the gathering, or warhammer, or world of warcraft... it's... WW2...

Maybe make it into an ability that can only be used within the first minute of the game, before any units will likely be near the explosion, but that will be a nerf to the ability in that it cannot be used to clear out existing defences. But then again, it is SCORCHED EARTH - area denial, not when you've already lost the land to the enemy.

Compensate by reducing the area of effect, but giving another free use or whatever.

I agree with the "confusing" part, Boldas used it on me yesterday and the first time I saw that I was like "WTF RETREAT" and then it directly hit 4 times the same AB squad but it didn't take any damage lol.

Yeah, as one of the few people who use Scorched Earth, I'd agree its somewhat confusing, but I'm also not sure if there is a better way to implement it. I've been in general happy with its performance. Though there are sometimes where I think the barrage isn't concentrated enough, IE. 75% of the barrage decides to drop on somewhere besides the building I targeted.
