Disclaimer: All observations are based purely from my own perspective, you may experience different feelings, realities and memories from mine. All observations are provided strictly as a purely objective observation, with no intended hidden conspiracy theory agenda to manipulate balance, talk about the good old days, or provoke 30 page flame wars coupled with bans and lock by Akranadas.

---

[1] Players have either grown up or become numb to the loss of vet. Even deliberating chasing down a vet 3 unit with an armoured car / clown car / G43 slow / panzerfear tank / Staghound / M10 etc and killing it hardly provokes an angry whimper. In old EiR, even shooting and chasing a vet 3 ostwind spawn camping the allied spawn was enough for the babysitting vet whore to throw out an impotent stream of varied insults and rage, followed by a drophack that results in a 1 hour game not being counted for RBs and CPs.

[2] In old EiR, stacked teams would refuse to play stacked teams, and instead stacked raped average / newbie players.

In EiR:R, newbies happily fling themselves into the rampaging path of 4 rank 8 players for maximum PP gain.

In response, the 4 rank 8s would flee in terror due to low PP gain + possibility of losing vet units and PPs.

[3] In old EiR, 6 sniper companies, 6 howitzer companies, 8 sherman companies, 60 airborne companies (with oversupply hax), 60 riflemen companies, 60 volks/gren companies, 3 KT companies, 30 jeep companies, 16 mine / 8 goliath starts were played with almost every day until it was almost regarded as a normal occurrence.

In new EiR, encountering a 'gimmick' company just once is enough to provoke a 4-5 page thread on the horrors of over customisation.

[1] i rage if i lose vet and it shouldnt have happened :p Though if i deserved it then thats ok. Though ive noticed everyone else not caring.

[2] I concur. Cept it must only be me that doesnt get games whne its stacked.

[3] I concur. Though i want my 60 rifleman company back, or my 40 volks 10 stugs.

Grenadiers still rape face.

I miss facing grenade/satchel airborne spam, it was so fun to fight Sad

We should make a petition to bring back the crazy ab attack spam, as spammy as it was it was amazingly fun to micro your mgs grenadiers and flame pios to beat back the airborne.

Back then the regular airborne squad didnt become so crazy after raid was over and it had used its grenades, now it might be impossible with all the buffs.

Dont bring back air superiority though!

I miss my OBM unupgunned shermans raping P4s with Tungsten tipping since the P4s didn't have skirts, and I miss my quad getting a damaged engine for about 15 seconds then scurrying away to safety quite easily.

Also weren't quads like 3 pop cap back then? good times.

The old raid assault ability was so crazed. I would always drop my AB right behind of the enemy front and just mad dash into them and do as much destruction as i could while that 90 seconds was good, id then steal any support weapons and bring them to my teams front, so i had mg42s and axis mortars.

This is actually peculiar considering how you have to invest more PPs in vet nowadays you would expect people to actually care more about the vet as well. (Which I agree with you doesn't seem to be the case compared to the old days)

I too miss OBM Sherman spam, was insanely fun to micro those shermans and vehicles to get the most out of them.

i think it may be because its easier to vet up stuff now?  when we had the old launcher and stuff when i first joined it would take forever for me to vet up stuff.. especially the elite infantry like rangers.. currently i only have 2 vet2, 100xp plus rangers, but i did lost 3 others that where vet2 and 100xp as well, so i have had 5 in 12 games.

i have had 4 vet 2 howis in like 9 games.. multiple m18s and shermans that vetted up in a few games..

Vet doesnt mean as much these days at is used to.  Things like vet 3 storms walking at full speed while cloaked...  I used to baby my vet 3 storms, now a vet 3 storm is only marginally better than a vet 1 storm.  Hence no need to give a shit about vet.  A lot of other units are the same way.

I say make vet 3 stuff borderline OP, and make vet like 5x harder to get... that would be cool.
Just have 0 buffs to health/survivability and vet would be Uber powerful, but not an I Win button.

I had an EIGHT howitzer company, thank you very much.

It wasn't that good except for 4v4s though Sad

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

Because I remember 2 howitzers dying to a V1 out of the thousands of offmap strikes my howitzers attracted...
