wouldnt this be fun?
when a tank explodes, infantry and tanks around it will receive some dmg, but only if they are really standing right next to it.
quickly get your infantry away from the tank, its gonna blow!

or when a tank goes out of control and hits another vehicle, it does some dmg too.
move out of the way! its out of control!!

cars will do 1 dmg vs cars                  vehicles do 1.25 dmg vs cars                tanks do 1.5 dmg vs cars
cars do 0.75 dmg vs vehicles              vehicles do 1 dmg vs vehicles               tanks do 1.25 dmg vs vehicles
cars do 0.5 dmg vs tanks                   vehicles do 0.75 dmg vs tanks              tanks do 1 dmg vs tanks

it would be quite lame when a m10 blocks your tiger, and kill it when it explodes, but then again, if the tiger explodes, the m10 dies.
it will be mostly fun when a vehicles from far away is coming for you being out of control.

Mmh, not sure about the crash dmg you mention, but the hull explosions should definately do damage to surrounding infantry and light vehicles. I mean when a tank explodes you really shouldn't have infantry around.

I believe the BotB mod had something like that in. Well it's a good idea nonetheless and I'd like to see infantry being blown away when standing nearby exploding tanks!

I would love to see suicide charge with m10 on vet 3 pak just to kill crew with explosion...

Pretty neat idea, im sure some fucked up stuff will happen with OOC tanks..and alot of swearing when you drive your 5 hp tank into an infantry blob. Roll Eyes

alright,
this is how it should be i think:

when vehicles explode they do almost no dmg against other vehicles, but infantry around it = dead. ofcourse tanks will do the most dmg.

when a vehicle goes out of control and hits another vehicle, will it do some decent dmg.

When a OOC tank is stopped by another tank then the tank that stopped it should take damage. But if another tank just explodes next to it, it shouldn't take any damage.

Tank explosions should only damage infantry around them. Light vehicles far less dmg, and small things like bikes and such shouldn't do damage at all(would be abusable).

SO driving into other tanks won't help you, unless your tank is OOC and crashes into it.

This could turn into another 3m10s vs panther and panther now uses the m10s to kill each other. if we let it damage tanks it could really mess shit up.

Tank explosions don't damage nearby tanks, that's stupid. Only OOC tanks that ram into others do, and it should be kept low. ~50 dmg maybe?

OCC= out of control

edit: when an OOC tank hits another vehicle it should do some decent dmg against tanks(like a single ATG shot)
and a bit more when it hits a light vehicle.

light vehicles again do less dmg when they hit a tank.

but what do devs think about this? is it even possible?
