I want one of those french tanks with the two guns on it. in fact we should just make the command and conquer red alert tank with two guns on it. 2 gun firefly would be hilarious. Bring on the tigers!!!!
Give it a slow speed and slow turret turn rate and i agree.
I think he means M3 Lee Tank. It had one Main Gun in the Hull and Lighter cannon on the top
http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Quarters/1975/kp91a.jpg
i started out wanting something like the lee tank, but then i changed my mind. I want a sherman with two cannons. In fact I'd prefer a firefly with two 17 pounder cannons and a calliope launcher on top. don't forget the crab mine flail. chuck norris on treads.

Agreed, I rather have one really useful upgrade than a bunch that are MU sinks and don't do much to improve survivability of the sherman.

Skirts improve survivability vs infantry AT, 76mm improves the Shermans AT capabilities. Axis need something to help against RRs/PIATs, and Allies need something to help against the Axis' heavier armor.
It's always seemed like a fair trade to me, I dunno why noone else can see the comparison.

Thing is, the extra AT power still pales in comparison to the skirts. If the sherman got the m10's 76mm and damage, I wouldn't complain but I've had either close fights or lost against P4s even with the upgun, hence it is a poor MU sink and you're better off with cheaper tank destroyers. Whileas skirted P4s out the wazoo get significant defense against all allied hand held AT AND additional protection against sherman counterattack.
On that note, anyone notice the extreme power of mass StuH? They outrange all allied tanks cept the fly, and do crazy damage against infantry AND tanks, which I don't think is quite fair. It's a 105mm but yet 2 shots take off more than 1/3rd of my cromwell's or sherman's life? And tank destroyers get raped by them due to their paper armor and range (and hard to 'circle them' if they are supported which they usually are). Anyone else notice that too or is it just me?

Stuh damages tanks but not a lot. It deals 100 damage but with a 60% modifier vs all allied armor, it also has a really long reload(7.5s).
60 damage every 7.5s isn't much. An upgunned puma does more.

Err.. The StuH's 105 usually won't hit armor (especially if it's moving); if it does hit, it has a .75 penetration modifier (which also gets reduced with range), and does only 60 damage per shot.
Even if every shot hit and penetrated somehow, it'd take at least four shots to deal 1/3 damage to a Sherman, not two. On top of that, the 105 has a
very
high reload time..
The 105 has the same stats vs the M10, but the M10's great speed will mean that it'll never get hit.

We need better players, and you need much more team work on allied side. not axis players that think allied work on the same way.
( i hear nubs screaming on vent help with with the sherman against 1 p4 supported by 4 shreks) a skirrted p4 can take some rr bazooka
but sherman cant take that much .)h
1: I know AB = good but please dont chase tanks with it unless u can block it. they are too expensieve for that
2: Rangers= beter vs light tanks , or move them to rear or side b4 u shoot and waste reload time bazooka's dont do dmg vs skirted tanks on front.
3 :A sniper is not a scout unit
4: you can move you AB medic unit ( 4 min cd)
5: firefly can snipe tanks no need move them to front
6:if axis is charging you with more units FALL BACK to you allies
Ally's need to move to support and setup trap
and much more
Still rusty need more practice
Dear SANTA EIRMOD
I want a good cheap AI LV Like amoured car , puma ( as Allied ) quad is good but it cost ammo:/
puma , AC only fuel :/ a m8 with good armour and AA gun would be nice

True they may have a long reload time, unless there are like 4+ StuHs all with incredible range and cheap pop to field against armor, and one can block a lone tank destroyer while they nail it with 105 shots XD
And I don't know about the 'usually not hitting' thing, it wrecked my allies airborne and infantry sections at long range with either mass shots or very accurate shots, I can't tell for sure. But when my Cromwells are being out damaged by StuHs, it's like Shermans losing to Ostwinds. There's no reason for that doctrine to field regular stugs when the StuH, while doing a little less damage has nearly the range of AT guns, that's all I'm saying.

the stuh has +5 more range than a stug (which is known to have crap range for a turret less fuel costing pak replacement vehicle) and thats far away of being nearly at gun range
same with the damage that is far away from being close to stug damage (e.g. vs sherman 60dmg and stug 131.5dmg) actually its less than half damage
that a 3 stuh blob is retarded (same like 3 staghound or 3 m8 blob) is an other thing

Well the StuH outranges RRs, and Cromwells, unless they have really short gun ranges have to rush at them and chase them just to be lucky enough to get a shot off before being hit by another volley. I know Cromwells aren't tiger tanks, but they definitely are the second heaviest tank for CW (next to Churchills) and the amount of damage they take seems really high with the StuHs range advantage on them, and that thing is designed as an anti-inf specialist tank.
And +5 range gives it a total range of what? StuHs can outrange RRs as it sat back and killed riflemen and airborne with impunity, so if you're saying its less than AT guns, its between RR and AT then.

Even the basic StuG and P4 IST? Granted I haven't seen many regular Stugs out sniping airborne or rangers though.

Most Tanks have 40 range, with the exception of the long range tanks and the IST which has 30.

I want a doctrine ability that allows for rangers to cloak like the stormtroopers. Than they could ambush tanks and that would help.

Wanna bet people would use that with thompsons and grenades, rather than with zooks?

Question now on StuH damage, was thinking about this during my lunch break but... StuH rounds I don't recall ever seeing 'deflect' off allied armor... is that cause I'm unlucky or because of it's 'artillery' type round? Cause they hit the ground, cause the explosion and do damage to tanks, while you see regular stugs bounce or penetrate evenly.

I believe it will always explode but not always do damage at all.

They bounce off tanks. Even 105 howitzer shells can bounce off tanks.
