Watched about 1/4 of it.  Good effort, but honestly I wanna hear Smokaz talk about his thoughts on the game, not "ATHT coming up.. shoots the m8.. m8 backs away.. m8 shoots the inf ht.. ATHT shoots the m8.." I can see these things happening, but I wanna know what Smokaz thinks about what is happening.

It's like watching a Starcraft shoutcast.  The shoutcaster could say "Zerglings attack.. zerglings run back.. zerglings burrow.. zerglings attack.. zerglings die.. another zergling dies.. another zergling dies.." but usually a good shoutcaster will say what is happening, and then put in his thoughts about why it is happening and examine the thought processes of the players.

Don't get me wrong, it was pretty good, but just some parts were Smokaz telling me what is happening when I can clearly see what is happening.

Thanks for doing it though  Smiley

Smokaz great 1st effort mate, id drop the swearing just from a presentation stand point but I really liked your effort, having a co-presenter helps as well, but that then takes some practice as well.

Keep it up

I cmpletely agree with you both, and thats why Im doing another one "inhouse" for a really good 2v2/3v3 with seasoned EIRR players as this was more for the purpose of people unfamiliar with the mod.. Ill take a new look at the shoutcast replay thread tomorrow and, the game with bigdick and aloha pwning as allies kinda tickled my interest.. it will be a completely different shoutcast when its "in house" aka the shoutcaster assumes that everyone knows the players, map and units.

I was a hell of shoutcaster before in the day,.. decidedly rusty now.

SO PLEASE PLAY THAT EPIC EVEN GAME with lots of "eirry" tactics and spam and backcapping and flaming and bl0bz and post it

it will definitely be much more thoughts on the game when the audience is our own players who know what the dealio is

I just finished watching the rest, and one more thing is that at the end it would be nice if you had about 5-10 minutes talking about the game, such as why the losing team lost and why the winning team won.  Maybe, if you can remember something off of the top of your head, have a play of the game (or just the engagements that were the game-changers) and a player of the game.

Nice job Smokaz, I'm looking forward to the next one.

i think it was very good like you did it to get the interest of new players
if a non eir player sees it he would be confused without explaining that there is a new AT HT version which is able to penetrate tanks
or he may be confused about the capping system and hat his "resource limit" ingame is popcap

such video shoutcasts should be posted on gamereplays.org too and on the main website for advertisement

i pwn not i just played allies where its imho easier to win because you have so much stuff to charge in
i even had much left Cheesy to call in (like an other stag some tommies, firefly+command, second churchil mkVI)
but i would say that you always should say something that new players or non eir players don't know to get them playing the mod

i dont know about aloha but i can't remember a game i played against ostwind and stuh spam
i played a game against jesusmysavior some days ago and he started with 2 stuhs but he dropped after 6.30min after i charged my upgunned sherman after his vet2 stuh trough his storms and killed it close to spawn
so it came not to that kind of spam XD

and actually it is easy to complain about something with fog of war off Cheesy without being under pressure like ingame and raging about retarded pathing or command lag

I would either click on the tac map more or zoom out and scroll across the map so new ppl watching can get a better sense of what the battle lines are, who is pushing where, and where the strong poiints are, in stead of just clicking on the mini map and zooming to a different spot.

At least for newb SC anyways. I know what's going on cause i played the game, but it would be different for ppl who havent played the map before

Well, just started listening but R+ Mode means a player comes on every 4! minutes and in a 4v4 engagement 2 start in the beginning.

Yeah he failed there. Tongue
But I couldnt tell him as I wouldnt want to disturb him in the middle of a shoutcast.
But I guess thats why you should have a 2nd shoutcaster.

Yea, the Hummel didn't really do much the nebel couldn't have handled.  And its accuracy wasn't very good this game honestly.  Might have take out a couple of AT guns but thats about it.
