I was wondering if anyone knows how much of a speed increase the T1 unlock gives to them, as it only says slight increase and I haven't been able to find any information about it other than that.

its a t1 and you can take all t1 except one

and when you want to play with some churchills why not getting it

it gives +0.5 more speed

and raise churchill speed from 3.75 to 4.25 thats 13.333..33% more so its ok for a t1

unfortunately it acceleration stays by 1.5

to compare a sherman has 1.6 acceleration and 5.2 speed

33%?Huh??

i knew churchils were way too fast, and i tought the t1  was the only speed upgrade. seems i was right, it is way too much. churchils downsides should be tanks and the churchil being slow.

well.. with the VI churchil, it can already fight p4s and stugs with ease.

and this simple t1 makes them so fast, schrecks have no chanse, and paks are less effective.
now combine this speed with tank shock: tank shock is here becouse churchil is slow. so when the enemy is finally in range, you can tankshock them so they dont get away anymore.
right now, you can just run your churchil in enemies with his speed, and then tankshock them above that.
(i know tankshock is being changed, but i dont expect much from it, but i do expect some kind of bug making you able to supress enemies with the churhil HMG half across the map)

and ofcourse, then you can just say ''but the churchil costs alot too!''

but every unit should have a counter, and upgrades shouldt make their counters close to not effective at all.

Leophone im afraid the churchill MK 6 doesnt fight P4s and stugs with ease, maybe it can stand toe to toe with a P4 but it will bounce 9/10 of the shots on a stug especially if it has skirts..

It makes it faster, but not as fast as the rest of the tanks.  It's not getting changed.

"OMG 13% speed increase OP"!!!!111.  Nah just kidding lol.

All you've got to do with a churchill is Light AT HT -> Treadbreaker = instant crippling.  basically a damaged engine churchill = a destroyed engine anything else.

And 1 on a MkVI wont beat a P4 unless a Vet2 CCT is tagged onto the back of it.

Yeah I'm not impressed with the performance of the Mk6 considering it is still ineffective for its relatively high pool costs.  Speed increase is decent since it's the only British tank that can't purchase flank speed... helps a little but definitely not overpowered, hence it needs tank shock (which is being tuned) to get in close to infantry but still gets owned by AT and tanks! ^^
