It all started With the Fall of France.
On August 24th I decided I wanted to be creative. I started out with corsix tools and hit that 'create new mod' button. I decided on a hybrid idea between what we play here at Europe In Ruins and what VCoH has to offer, but a completely reworked version of either.

this mod does not attempt to stay true to base VCoH, but unlike most mods that claim that it is not aiming for 100% realism (ranges / 1 shot kills). I have maintained VCoH's balance through using most of their predesigned weapons with minor tweaks to reloads, cooldowns and accuracies only. (in most cases).
It is interesting how long it takes to do a full build from scratch, this mod uses a completely new file structure from what I am use to working with here at EIR, part of what I wanted to accomplish with this was broadening my knowledge of the RGDs and how they work. I definitely exceeded my knowledge gain expectations. All entities, upgrades, squads, weapon files are unique to this mod and have been created from scratch. The only thing I borrowed so far was my lockout routine for the airborne sniper, not wanting to have to recreate it a second time.
The game currently works with the PE and Americans only. I chose these two factions as the testing point so that players with OF and only Normal COH could both partake.
The mod is based on Unlocks, as you will find there should be absolutely ZERO upgrades available throughout the game. The game also currently does not have a single unit buff in it, nor will there be any. Veterancy will be marginal at best, and more a way to track a unit then anything.
A lot of the vanilla abilities are missing from this mod. Suppression Fire, Volley Fire, Button, Tread breaker.. to name a few.
This is not the official release for this mod, I am simply putting it up here because A: People keep asking me where I have been, B: The people who have tried it so far have really enjoyed it, and C: I need to test it more before adding in the british and Wehrmacht, and the other factions which are planned for it at the end phase.

CURRENTLY THERE ARE NO GRAPHICAL ADDITIONS TO THE MOD, no skins, no maps, no nothing. that will come shortly. Read the wiki, download the mod, give it a try... if you want.

Its pretty fun. I really like it, kinda reminds me a bit of fortress europe. It uses the atc system and you have to play it in victory point because you can't destroy teh bases lol which actually draws out the games to be pretty long. You only get a limited number of resources to build your forces and it can be really tough and close after a while, very fun and something new.

I had the corrupt thing but I was still able to play singleplayer, not sure if it worked perfectly or not.

Yeh worked for me, used 7Zip and extracted it to my desktop.

I played it in Skirmish mode and with the expert AI you get a pretty interesting game. Reminds of the TOV campaign which I actually enjoyed including the unlocks. I really like the ability to reset your doctrine so if things change in game you can change your doctrine and adapt.

whacko, im uploading it again, obviously something went weird, tehre was an older version that didn't have any of those problems i left on there, but forgot to mention.
sorry, its funny how things like that happen, we played a game just before uploading that and had absolutely no problems.

the copy i had on my computer worked fine, the one on filefront corrupted the datafile. Hence the blue box as well, some of it was missing I think.
repacking it all and reuploading, I will download this one myself and test it before updating the link
