vcoh is way less forgiving... sure you can retreat a squad.  But then you'll have less, as mentioned before, you're opponent will have the ground, dug in, have an extra unit on you, and more resources coming in.  In eirr, you fall back.  Call in the exact hard counters that you need, and procede to rape (if you aren't fail).
I been playing a lot of 2vs2 vcoh lately (yea, panzy i know) and damn, when you get a really good match up where you're all 15+, its freaking crazy.

The only skill EiRR has that Retail CoH doesn't is company-building, and that's still mirrored in build orders.

Micro exists in both, macro exists in both, and frankly neither has more of one or the other, both are determined by how much you want to use of them. I've had higher-micro games of retail than of EiRR and vice versa.

The only case where vCOH is unforgiving is 1v1s, EiRR is not based around 1v1s but team play, so unless 2v2s in vCOH start being balanced and unforgiving the this is kind of a moot point is it not?
