salan you tell me why i should i apologize and i will take it under advisement.

I have on many occasions played with newerplayers, knowing i will not win and play supporting them, but not vbeing the spear head knowing i will get hunted the moment i hit the retreat button, or put good units in postions to lose them even if it means winnign the game becaause it won;t help if there is no support there to win the game.  

IN this game, HE brought out a single call in in 3 mins.  IT was killed in under 1 minute, HE proceed to not call out anythign else and build a vickers (Emplacment)in the spawn.  

Oh his openign callin does not cap the spawn, and when i i ask him to go back and cap he says No, it normally does it but i am not going back.  So no territpory is capped early game.

In response to this behavior i Politly asked him to "PLease cap the territory around or just wait for me to come on, and cap around all of his units"

He did not respond, Lional tried helping him and ask" Are you on vent" to which we got a sinple and short yes.  

It was getting close to me entering the battle and i am wondering if hes going to even play out the game since we are not even seeing anything on the map.  PLay is continuing without him capping any territory...  Besides 2 sectors... His units completly still.  

This whoel time we continue to ask him to move units a couple places and even whjere to set up soem defensivces, Wait for help.  He sets up in his spawn secotor with liek 5-10 maybe 15 pop at most.  

I rember ;later i said button the ostwind so i can attack it and kill it off and he proceeeded to not button the closest, but the farther and full health one and then move his units away unvetted with 2-3 men left for fear of death ona red cover road.  I had moved my units in place and they were in the process of getting hit from behind and slowed but i kept them on the maybe kill the oswtinds.  

He proceeeded to take his brens, which don;t get penetrated by oswinds much and run them away saying he doesn;t have anythign against them and keep all his units in spawn and says, I have nothing to fight them...

I got frustrated as he left me all alone int he middle of the map, Exposed and taking losses as he ran away with his units...  YEs thats mother fuckign frustrating.  I lost 2 vet 3 squads because of that, And yes thats mother fucking frustrating.

On top of it all, I asked, Fine don;t fightm Hold and cap 2 territorie wait for Linel, Thst it hold and cap 2 territories

HE got mad, Told us and me to stop bossign him around and shut the fuck up.  I said i need you to fuckign cap 2 territories its not unreasonable and he told em to fuck off and hes not taking this shit and left.  

I was angrey at that point.  Yes angrey, Telling him to fuck off as well and laying into him because after he got mya ss raped i was getin yelled at to, Fuck that.  

YEs things get heated and yes losses are taken, But when someone refuses to cap territory, and someone refuses to use their units, I will yellow and tell them to do it after the 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th times i have to ask and repeat over and over and over to hold territory... By movign a guy all of 2 feet in game?  

I am sorry i got angry, and i will talk to you on vent and play anpother game with you anytime.  But  refuse to fight and bring units into a battle where i am jummping in to save you and map a push and you pull your unvetted shit away and leave me with my dick swinging in the wind with a knife heading my way on a hot day, Your ass is gettin an ear full.  

Shit happens, Gets heated, Jinker cures me out and laugs about it most days We apolgizze, get over it and move on.  IF you take it personaly, Come talk to me about it, Give me a little time to cool down, but come talk to me one on one, send me a pm to come to a channel or something and i will.  Tell me what i did, how i did it, and let me know you don;t work like tht and i will try not be such an ass to you that i promise.

Coming from someone who no longer plays the mod because of a similiar experience Jection I thing it is very big of you to apologize.  To be honest, I love the mod but I don't play anymore because unless you are on vent its too hard to get into a game, then when u do they complaint that you should have vent.  But vent is what I hate most about this mod because of all the in game harassment and sometimes outright insults you get from people who obvious have a lot more time than some to play this game.

Meh, I suppose I get what you mean: Ventrilo is for most people (specially higher levels) quite a must.. I personally like vent too, but I can live with people not being on vent.

It's in general that people (including me, I fear) can be assholes at some point to new people... and that was while I was a new guy not even 2 weeks ago.
I think that getting new, nice players should go above winning the game.

Just my 2 cents, not accusing anyone.

If someone is an asshole to you on ventril then just mute them. 

Having vent is a must if you expect a good player to play with you.  Its hard enough to try to teach a new player how to play.  It makes life a bit easier if they are in vent.

Its not hard, its a small download.  You dont need a mic, just join the channel and listen if you cant talk.  If someone starts getting abusive then leave vent or mute them.

We have some notoriously abusive vent users in EIR,  nothing ever seems to get done about it though which is sad.  So for now your only option is to mute them.

Proof of vent abuse is difficult to get short of recording it.  But the same names always seem to be the ones that new players complain about.  Heres a hint though on a couple of them, their names both start with P.

Ive been around.  Havent played in a couple weeks because quite frankly the game is boring right now.  Waiting for the next patch or the doctrine patch.

Since you found it to expose yourself, I know first hand of vent abuse, I have heard you rage on vent at people before.  Ive also heard quite a few others rage.  Its unacceptable,  we should have some form of vent etiquate and it should be enforced with suspensions and bans.

Killer if you pay any attention to what members do around here you would know the ones who constantly rage at people in vent.  Whats the point of me PMing you.  Your only going to ask for proof and I cant provide any since I do not record vent...  Ive been through this before with vent problems and ingame problems,  each time nothing was done (maybe a slap ont he wrist).  Im guessing because  the devs/mods dont care enough about it to actually hand out real punishments.

For now mute  is the only answer...

The differance is I didnt come into your channel screaming at you or cursing at you.  I just told you it didnt seem like you were trying,  anyone that watches the replay of that game will see that.  But thats not the point of this thread.


If you go through my posts on here or ask most that have had a conversation or played a game with me in vent you will find very few if any that would say I abused them.  You cant say the same about yourself.

Also,  I did not know that not playing for 2 weeks means you have stopped playing and can no longer post.  The mod has gone for a long time with no reset, the game isnt that fun for me right now and I am waiting for the new doctrines.   Ban me I am terrible.  Your post above shows you are the best poster on these forums, in fact they should make you a mod so everyone can follow your example!
