Dont you think we should be able to choose whether or not we want shit to fly in? Losin vet in gliders is frustrating, just make them optional, like if you want glider you put the units in them via the launcher, like a ht.

Same with falls, sometimes i want them to walk to the fight instead of flying into a place that could be lost in 30 seconds.

Can't you drop them at your spawn point and walk them in?

Yeah but that takes about 50 seconds till they can walk, instead of 0-20 which calling in would do. And with gliders can take longer depending on how many units are in it. Also you can't aim where to land the glider to plowing through a building and losing all your units happens

agreed, would be nice to have a double rr call in be able to walk in with a normal call in time rather than have them drop with the extra what is it +30 seconds since it's dropping in.

It's actually a set 30 seconds. Get the T3, and it becomes 10 seconds. Call in 20 squads for all you care, you'll still be at 10 seconds callin time with all airborne platoons. Works both ways.

30 seconds for it to call in, but then its got to land and all the squads leave the glider seperatly.

why would i wanna waste a t3 that makes shit come in 10 seconds, id rather get somethin useful than have a glider come down in 10 secs and get instagibbed by a flak or somethin.

Because its usefull and lets you get to the battle in half the time, or when you start a game you can get the map and set up before they arrive.

and makes ur tank faster during the whole game, glider comes in 10 seconds. lightning war makes ost in the middle of the map by that time and owns all ur vet3 squads, unlucky.

I was actually planning on taking Lightning War as my T4, cuz it seemed to offset my weakness. I'm still long way from T4 though, since I can't get in so many games a week.

drop a glider in spawn and walk. They come out 1 at a time, and its at 1 second intervals.... it takes maybe an extra 5 seconds for it to land....
ITs part of having the ability to drop anywhere on the map and comes with the unit.
Such as airborne... You have to drop them in if they are alone, want them to walk, Buy an Engie...
Its part of the strat to build a company with those units...
Have 1 rr and 1 rifle squad at a time....

AB aren't that hard to drop in safely. I've been toying with Commandos, and they aren't that hard to drop in safely either. Just can't drop them right at your frontlines since frontlines are always shifting in EiR (especially in 2v2s). Drop them a little further back. If you really don't know, then find where the triage center/AB medics are and drop them there because that's usually far enough away from the action but still close enough to get to the frontlines quickly.

Best place to drop commandos and Airborne, my experience from back in vEiR : 2 sectors behind the enemy front line sector.
Seriously, you won't find a safer place to drop them. Just wouldn't suggest droping them on the main road, more to the side.
