Personally, I find the concept of being faced with a representation of what US, British, and Canadian troops actually faced, irresistible. Including nearly all physical aspects, incl. Terrain grade, building/tree placement, road layout, etc. Seriously, who wouldn't want to play a authentic recreation of brecourt manor? Or slug it out with the russians in an accurate recreation of Stalingrad?
Fictional maps are certainly fun; but I can think of no greater respect to the men who were faced with these obstacles than to recreate and face them ourselves.....
