Seeing as a select few extreme game spammers have managed the monumental task of getting 999 pps for their reinforcements, and no updates being incoming in foreseeable time (AFAIK), could we please even this out by putting it back to 100 or 50 pp (I cant remember) so everyone can get it?

Now that's a bullshit remark. I am by no means a game spammer. I play 1 game a day on average. Some days multiple games, some days nothing.
I saved pp by not over supplying and purchasing off maps and all those bullshit items that take pp or sp to purchase. I play games to win, not to horde vet which also takes sp to vet up. I suggest you L2P with out spending your pp and save them up like I did.
If you open up pp to everybody, then I and the others that currently have reinforcements should have all of their units upgraded to vet 3. Makes about as much sense as your suggestion.

Quite a few of us could have gotten 999 PPs for reinforcements by now if we just stuck to 1 account.
Instead we went for multiple accounts, so the PPs earned got spread out.

Actually, I have 2 accounts.
Like I said. If you open up reinforcements to all, then I should get vet 3 on all my units. Every person in this mod has had the same opportunity to earn reinforcements as I have had.
Many people in these forums are whining about a reset because the game has become boring. How about you play to earn pp and reinforcements. Now you have a new goal and you don't have to fuck up everybody else to get it.
It feels like a bunch of little children in here. Jonny has a red ball I should have a red ball. Go earn your own damn red ball!!!!

This is bordering on infantile, so I got a red shovel in the playground by constantly building the same sand castle..noone else should get it unless they build as many castles as me! Theres a superior contribution being made by the players who play both sides and on multiple accounts allowing themselves to adjust for their opponents skill level/company level or side, thus creating more possible team combinations.
The initial point of the 999 pp price was NOT to limit reinforcements to people having 200+ games on the same company, but to limit EVERYONE from having them and then woopee there was no reset for 3 months and some very enthusiastic players were able to scrounge enough pps together to get them.

Now that people actually have started getting reinforcements the only solution is making them available to everyone OR taking them away and refunding the 999 PPs. One of the two will be done by the end of the weekend.
I'm sorry Tank but it just wasn't intended for you or anyone to get them, you will be refunded either way.

Tank's post cracked me up I have to say. I think it's pretty obvious the most vehement objections to Smokaz' idea are emotional rather than logical, in which case I'm glad to see Unknown's announcement.

I find the bolded part interesting, fact is, most people have played as many or more games, but on different accounts across both factions, actually doing MORE "work" and contributing a hell of a lot more to the mod. If you want to take it as far as who actually puts work into the mod, mappers with maps in rotation should be given infinite PPs to spend and free vet 3.

Because they were about to be removed/fixed/companies reset, he just didn't care I guess. And 1 day later EIRRMod's PC decides to say "fuck you" and he has been busy fixing it since then, should be fixed this weekend I think.

This is not about someone who wants your candy because you got it, no one was supposed to be able to "earn" reinforcements.

Yes, but the mods made a decision to let it go because it was earned. Now because of complaints, you are going to take it away. So now it is a problem about who gets the candy.
My comment about my donation was not in an effort for leniency, but an example of my contribution to the mod. It has been implied by others that they contribute more than I because they have multiple accounts. I choose to have one. This does not make me a lesser contributor....or does it.

I for one help out the players/newbies in this mod on a near daily basis, your criticism is completely off target. Almost every time I get on I get asked questions related to the mod or how to best enjoy the gameplay by both regulars and newbies. Ask Sichtum or Tine who are both newcomers-turning-regular about my will to help with their companies or take the time to explain them ingame concepts.
I also get contacted on vent sometimes by people looking for admins or mods, and those I help find what they are looking for in the launcher or on the site. If I did donate however, I would not bring it up in every argument like a angry mob waves their pitchforks outside dr. Frankensteins castle. Are you getting a Lamborghini or a Jaguar for midlife crisis, btw?
If you read the initial post (I'm going to have to guess a No on that) you would see that it was suggested that it was OPENED up to everyone else, not taken away from anyone.

I wasn't actually aware of the 'let it slide' policy the other devs have applied during my and EIRRmod's absence (in regards to this issue). Needless to say, while my original point would still stand from a development point of view the fact that someone has already made a decision in the opposite direction does indeed mean we can't just 'turn around'. I'll talk this over with the other developers and we'll see from there.
Until then, stay calm. We'll keep you posted.
