i couldnt find anything on the internet about this bug:
when i had vista installed on my pc, and i got DX10 on in CoH,
i couldnt go to the desktop ingame or the graphics would screw up: the letters would become unreadable and sometimes the entire ingame screen would go black (not the menu).
so i just didnt go to the desktop.
but now, im using windows 7, and now this bug is here right when i start the game.
some of the letters in the menu are gone or replaced by BLARGH.
i only get the black screen if i alt tab out of the game, and then when i alt enter again to fullscreen the graphics look okay... but most of the times it just switches back to wrong again.
it seems this bug first started when i started up a mod for CoH. so i reinstalled coh without any mods and problem was fixed. but after starting -dev mode for playing my custom maps, the graphics screwed up again!
i tried changing grpahics to DX9, and it seems the bugs are gone then. when i change back to DX10, theyre back.
here are some screenshot showing it(since printscreen doenst work with DX10 i had to alt tab, but it basicly looks the same):
i got windows 7 64bit, before that i had vista 64.
i have an ATI 4870X2 videocard with the latest drivers.
if this bug cant be fixed, il just go back to vista. really they say games work better in windows 7, but as it seems now i cant use mods for coh, and some other games of me dont work too. im sure there are LOTS more.
