I don't think we should bother applying realism arguments to balance discussions
Probably right, but I don't think it should be dispensed entirely. After all, this is a game set in WW2. There has to be
some semblance of reality in order for it to work.
But then again, how does shooting enemy's make your tank faster, or how does killing people reduce the amount of DAMAGE you get? really? That's like, well, I shot 10 of your guys down, now I can take 2 bullets instead of 1 because I am badass!
We could say its down to confidence and experience. The more you use your machine, the more confident you are in handling it. The more guys you shoot, the better you understand how to avoid taking similar shots.
All I'm saying is that, from a realism perspective, it doesn't really make much sense. And I brought the realism perspective up because I thought that this pretty much summed up the balance perspective:
i remember the lols in the closing few minutes of the game when one side was clearly beaten and tanks would charge round the battlefield looking for ATGs to kill.
I'd really rather not see this, thank you, hence the realism justification.
