Heyo,

I'ts been a long time since I've played EiR/OMG, I gave up because I just got sick of the ridiculous grind (20+ games just to get to lvl 7).

Just wondering how that grind is these days...

Doctrines are being reworked so right now the only thing to spend PP is on advantages and SPs (-> vet)
So very little grind now actually.

It'll probably come back, but only for a little bit. We are looking into the possibility of altering quite some aspects of the mod after the doctine rework!

20 games when your opponents have ridiculous buffs [which you don't, yet] which result in you losing games that you otherwise would...

i work, i cook, and i drink, and i live in an apartment with 3 of my friends, so there's always a distraction from playing. Only on days that I'm laying around recovering from a hang over do I get 3+ games in.

3+ games a day? o.O seriously? I got very little time to play as is... 1 game is already a freaking miracle considering so I kinda agree the grind is completely out of wack. I get that the mod has to reward players who play more than 1-2 games a day but come on... it should be something that only gives you bragging rights and not an unfair advantage (it is unfair because you as a casual player cannot dedicate as much time to grinding an account as another player and get shafted for it). Personally I think the past system was a joke and anything even remotely resembling it will continue to be a bad joke (a solution would be to have a a pool of pps and all doctrine choice available to the player at the start so they can at least choose which way to go from the get go and work from there).

I just liked the whole deal that you can shoot straight for your strongest ability. Get it in 0-5 games or so, then go for all the little perks that the doctrines offer. Someone actually suggested the brilliant idea of inverting the doctrine tree - would make things much more interesting I think. The idea also came up of just letting a player pick their effective "T5" then letting them work from T1 to T4. I personally think that would be best.

20 games when your opponents have ridiculous buffs [which you don't, yet] which result in you losing games that you otherwise would...

So let me get this straight,, your mad because against players that have played more games, refined their strat, and selected units that best suit their play style, your losing against?

That is akin to the polish complaining about a ME109 flying overhead in 1939 because they forgot to build up for a war....

Try this strat.  Your first 010 games, don;t expect to win them, and i say this because you should play very high level people .  Why?  You get more PPS, its less of a grind, You see what kind of strats people employ with that doctrin choice, And they are locked into Their " Powerfull buff"  You can try different company types and combinations.

When i play early I refine what i am going to do with that company, I don;t have a blank canvas i am able to build whatever company i want.  And depending on how badly i lose, or even if i win, It will tell me if i am on to soemthing.  If i have no battle advantages.... And i run a guy down to his last callin, i know i won, the stats won;t say so but i just beat his ass.

Puddin' spamtm
i cant really blame smokaz i mean playing against puddin is like trying to fight off breast cancer. You might win and do it and be a bad ass but you'll feel sick and mutilated forever.

Puddin' spamtm is soulcrushing... what's hard to understand about that?

Idea.

1. Game mode is the original EIRR standard format where you gotta WORK for your company. (original)

2. Game mode where everything is unlocked. (casual)

How this will work, Before you pick your company you must specify if you want to play (original) or be a pussy and play the 2nd option (casual)

Casual game mode does not count to the leaderbaord, you cant gain any vet (helps nubs and casual gamers) doesnt contribute to the warmap either

Done.

/Ends EIRR's casual gamer problems and world hunger.

2nd option defeats the purpose of the 1st option. No one will grind up PPs if they can get everything for free. Vet and leaderboard are just shiney anyway, doesn't serve any real purpose.

If both players were equally skilled maybe. But no 2 people in this mod are equally skilled, vet units can still get hard countered
