Is there a thread anywhere that lists the Community and their skill levels?  I've searched, but havent found anything.

By reading the forums it easy to deduce who has a great deal of experience and skill.  There are also some posts where its easy to tell a member is new and inexperienced.

What I'm looking for is an easy way to find 3 to 5 guys to play against that are all new.

Launcher stats and/or ranks are usually a good represenation of someone's experience with the mod.
(I.e: the more games they've played the more likely they'll be a solid player)

Of course when someone is smurfing or just playing a new account, it's practically impossible to tell. You can always check the leaderboard to see if he has an alt. account up there with plenty of games.

I hadn't noticed any Stats on the Launcher... I'll check that tonight.

Do those stats reset when you change doctrines?

Yea just mouse over the usernames.
They reset whenever you wipe your account (which you need to do to change doctrine) yes.

I'd like to start a thread where members can post their general overall experience level.  It would be fairly ambiguous.  That is, it wouldn't be like "post your skill on a scale of 1-10" as I wouldn't want the Thread denegrading into arguments over who should be ranked above or below whom.

It would be like New, Experienced, Veteran... something simplistic and accurate.

Would there be any objections to such a thread (assuming one doesn't already exist), and if not, which Forum would be best to put it in?  This EiR Boot Camp seems as good a place as any.

I've read a lot of the forums... I can see why that would send a shiver down your spine.   Roll Eyes

I think that no matter how long I play EiR, I'd still stink at it.  So experience and skill are two very different scales to my mind.  I only care that its fun.

You could try and make the thread like our old "What's your age" thread. Everyone has to put his name and then the skill level in it!

I sucked cock when i first played coh tbh, but i got better over time so can you Tongue Though when i played coh, it actually required skill unlike nowadays.

And now theres people i used to bash a couple months on here able to fight back now, that concerns me, must stomp them back to stone age micro.

For the record, Two thinks he's good but still has to realise he's not.
So for now, let him live the illusion Smiley

Im afraid the harsh reality is that you have to play with what you can get. It usually takes a long time to get a game going since there's so few people playing the mod. Hope this will change when doctrines come back in.

As a European I cant always play at night waiting for USA people to come online. During the day here there are like 5 people online, it makes it extremely hard to get a quick game. Infact you're lucky if you get enough players in the first place, often you have to wait for a long time, meaning you have to play with what you can get.

It used to be different, back in the good ole days we had 20+ players on at all times with peaks up to 60. I'm sure that as development picks up again and the mod is made more user friendly we'll see flocks of old and new players coming in again.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

alright. this is what i think.

my WM W:L ratio is like 2:1 but my US is like, 1.5:1

so i dont think the win loss ratio matters. because i feel im a much better allied player than WM!
